10% on SWCC-how do I do it?

I have seen that many of you also have 10% off loaded on your SWCC-where and how do I do this-that would have saved me another 9.60 yesterday. I live in the sticks so I do HUGE shopping trips at a time. 10% off would sweeten the deal even more.

Honestly, I had an issue with a local safeway that the store manager wouldn't help me with, it was a catalina deal. I was so upset that I called safeway and told them what had happened and that I was cheated $X amount and she came back and told me she would give me 10% off. I told her that was not going to work out right because I wouldn't spend enough to get back the money I lost. And that is when she informed me that it would be on my card for 3 months.... I haven't had it since the beginning of December now but it was nice. I am not sure if I was suppose to post this or not because I don't eve see anyone talking about it on here and maybe eveyone else got the 10% in a different way, I don't know?
I hope this helps, I did not call thinking that was going to happen. It is just the way it worked out, I had no idea prior to calling.

Yeah I don't know how or what people have done, but I have seen many ppl post that they have 10% somehow on their card. I just want to do it(of course).

Hello, the way I and several of my friends got our 10%, was when a new safeway store opens, or gets remodeled in your neighborhood. Safeway does a mass mailing to everyone with a new card that's pre-loaded with the 10% for at least a month. Then each month since that, I've gotten a mailer with special "coupons" automatically loaded onto the card. (Although they have yet to work properly), I just keep the mailer in my coupon book and show it to the cashier and they've always manually keyed in the saving for me. I think the info is back there in the old threads if you want to search. As I remember it, some areas were giving 10% off due to store opening/re-openings (as somebody just mentioned above) for a few months. Then everybody else in the forums jumped on the idea of calling and saying their "friend" had just got this deal and could they get it too.

A lot of the time they were successful, if they were not then it seemed like they just called back again later and spoke to somebody else that gave it to them!

I went to Safeway today and the receipt stated you will receive 10% off your eligible purchases now through 2/27/09. Plus I received the 10% off on todays purchase.

I got mine when I called to complain because the first quarter of the gas rewards, part way through, the cash register/computer system was DEDUCTING instead of adding my purchases to the total spent. I lost four or so of the "rewards". When they said they would fix it, I said "Well, for my inconvenience and troubles, can I get one of those 10% discounts that I hear others have?" And it was given to me. I had tried three times prior to get it and was told no each time. I feel I deserved that discount though because although my gas rewards began to accumulate again, they never did fix the missing ones. I haven't tried to get the discount again... sometimes it is a pain to figure out the exact amount I need to spend with it included in, in order to get a certain promotion, etc. I might try it again another time... but for now, I'm ok. Especially since I am willing to bet the Savings Ralley is coming real soon!
