Safeway Gas Rewards Program

As someone who doesn't own a car, it's nice to be able to get an actual card back as it can be traded. For years and years I've "earned" rewards for something I can't redeem or use. For someone in my situation, I give the new rewards a thumbs up.

Is anyone else in an area where they have both programs. We shop at several different Dominick stores and receipts were showing different amounts. I called today and found out that we are earning in both programs. The program is linked to the store you shop at. One we have slightly more than $100 to get the $6 gas card after the 20th and the other stores we have have just enough to get $.10 off a gallon. She couldn't combine them so we would be only just $12 short of getting the $6 gas card after the 20th. She said she would send a message to corporate and I may (not will) get a call back from someone on this. I have read on here that other areas have had the gas program going on for awhile but they just started it in our area this quarter. Right now I am upset because if our totals from all the Dominicks we shop at would have been combined we would have gotten the gas card and with them being totaled for two different programs we are probably not going to get the gas card before the end of the quarter.
