2 Hallmark deals -- free stamps and $$ off x9/9 & 9/20

I noticed a sign at my SW to get $1.99 free Hallmark US stamps 4pk WYB 3 cards -- warm wishes were not excluded. I thought that was a pretty good deal. 3 cards that I needed plus 4 free stamps. It did not come off automatically at the register, so the cashier opened the ad and found the other advertised deal. Buy 2 cards get $2 off, Buy 3 cards, get $3 off, Buy 4 cards, Get $4 off.... I think warm wishes are excluded but the fine print is impossible to read -- white on yellow.... This deal runs through 9/9 at least.

I was able to read this. The sale is good through Sept. 20th. Excludes Warm Wishes, gift enclosures, packaged and boxed cards. Limit of $20 off.

I'm confused. I bought 4 cards today and didn't see anythign about the stamps.
