My safeway had both of these signs today and a lot of 99 cent cards so I was very excited. But I read the fine print and it said expressions cards were excluded and all the 99 cent cards were expressions cards so I didn't buy any. Has anyone had any luck with this?

I don't believe the .99 cards are expressions as I could not find "Expressions" anywhere on them. However the musical cards say Expressions. My Safeway says once a day I can get 5 cards and they will take $5 off my order. Too bad I can only make it down once or twice a week. The managers read the fine print and say the .99 cent cards are not excluded.

If your safeway still has their signs up..then go ahead and do the deal if you have 99 cent cards...just make them take off the 4 or 5$....if yours does not have a sign then don't risk it. The system isn't taking it off automatically currently...(although I have tried since last week so things may have changed by now)

I went to Safeway again today and I was wrong. The 99 cent cards are marked Warm Wishes, not Expressions. The sign said Warm Wishes were excluded so I did not try it.

I tried this at my Safeway. The sign stated that "Warm Wishes" cards are excluded. Warm Wishes are in the .99 cent section, but there are several .99 Hallmark cards that are not specifically Warm Wishes. However, the deal still did not work. The customer service representative checked with the manager and they stated that the sign is on the side of the Hallmark aisle with the higher-priced cards. Hallmark (or Safeway) made a mistake by listing the exclusion of Warm Wishes cards when they should have said .99 cards or cards under 1.00. However, they did refund my money - stating clearly that they would do it "this time".

I live in a small town in Sonoma County, in Northern California.

I don't know if this helps, but that was my experience...

Didn't work for me tonight, I bought 5 cards, and nothing came off. Bummer. I will have to return them tomorrow. I should have checked here first.
