Question?? Safeway?

Do u guys ever order your groceries online at Safeway.com or do you usually just shop in the store?

I used to order online all the time and got great deals with promos, free deliveries and BOGOs. However, this summer I was all about the Savings Rewards and that meant getting in there to ensure all went as planned. Since then I started accumulating coupons and using doubles, which taken with the specials I have already grown accustomed to from Safeway, has me saving ever more. But I definitely recommend the website for people who want to save gas money, non-couponers, and people who want to get a look at the prices and some of the selection available.

It's also not available in all areas. Don't have it here in Alaska.

I used it for a short period of time after I brought the twins home from the hospital - it was very convenient at a time that I was limited where I could go and didn't want to expose the twins to germs - but it was expensive in that I couldn't really shop for the deals. I was not really into couponing then.

hey Velvet..did u feel like it helped you save time and maintain your budget by ordering online a well? I know some people who actually go in the store may go over their budget due to "impulse" buying. For instance, getting those extra cookies we don't need:))

Yes, actually, prioritizing my time and limiting impulse buys were some of the reasons it helped me at the time. One problem I had with coupons back then was buying stuff I didn't need just because I had a q, so it really didn't bother me that they didn't take them. Now I track sales and prices on the website and combine my findings with the coupons I know I can use. I hardly ever stray off my list this way, and when I do I still generally come under budget. Thanks for reminding me to put cookies on my list!

LOL i know what you mean im like that too with coupons just cuz i have them i feel like i have to use them hehe i think thats the idea though...but with ordering my groceries online would be less of a hassle AND! lol i wont buy extra things that i see next to the items i initially went to the market for haha or cravings that i get all of a sudden because i saw another item that isnt on my list...

It is not available in my area.

I use the online shopping site all the time to find prices, though. I have found that the portland area almost always has the same prices as my local store, so it really helps in planning.

I can't even do that. I'd have to use a WA/OR zip and the prices are totally different than here. It won't let me access it with an AK zip.
