Default Score at Sfwy!

I went back today for more Kraft singles and Weiners and when I was checking out the Kraft dressing section I found tearpads for FREE wyb 3. Each one is a different free item- Wheat Thins, Crystal Light Lemonade, Kraft Dressing, OM Weiners etc.. etc.. so I bought 2 Kraft singles and 3 OM Weiners and got Wheat Thins free. I used the .50/1 for the hotdogs so it was $3 (cheese), $1.50 weiners and free crackers with $1 OYNO catalina! I am going to go back and get more Singles (husband eats them like crazy) and I am going to use the .75/2 Kraft dressing coupons. Should look like this:

2 Kraft Singles $2 (have a catalina already and will get another)
4 Kraft dressing $3.98- 1.50 = $2.48
Lemonade FREE
Wht Thins FREE

These free items also help to hit the $10 minimum to use the Super Q's as long as you use MQ after giving your club card and Super Q's.

Oh and I used to UScan for the first time and there was a catalina sitting right there for a free Iced Tea as well that someone left. Cashier said it was mine for the taking-- whoo hoo!

My SW didn't have any of these tear pads. In fact I haven't found them any where in my area.

I haven't found any of them at any stores here locally, either.

Oh, I did find at one of my local boys a booklet that has:
$1.50/1 A.1. steak sauce or marinade
$1.50/1 Oscar Mayer bacon or hotdogs
$1/1 Kraft Natural cheese
$1/1 Crystal Light drink mix (shows On The Go 10cts)

All expire 09/30. I think these are specific to AK, as they're in a booklet promoting a local recipe contest from one of our local businesses. But it's a great hotdog coupon! Free hotdogs and cheese for me! Yay!

Well keep your eyes peeled, I totally would have missed it. The tear pad was on the shelf way below eye level where salad dressing is located. I knew it was there when I went back and still had to look a minute or two as there was no other promotional materials- just the tear pad stuck on the shelf.

When I went back I got:

Wheat Thins
(2) Kraft Singles
Crystal Light Lemonade
Iced Tea- Gold Tea or something
4 Kraft salad dressing

And the grand total was.. ta da! .-83! He actually gave me .83 AND a catalina for $1. Amazing.

Doubles are but a dream here in Nor CA! They don't even take IP here. I go to a super ritzy Safeway and they never get couponers so the cashiers just push everything through. Here was the breakdown-
(2) Kraft Singles $3.00 Super Q from $8.00 =$3
(4) Kraft Dressing $3.98 used (2) .75/2 =$2.48
Wheat Thins FREE wyb 3 Kraft etc..
Crystal Light Lemonade FREE wyb 3 Kraft
Gold Tea Iced Tea FREE catalina found at Uscan

- 1.00 catalina from prior cheese purchase. Should have been $5.48 but it looks like the cashier scanned the cheese Super Q twice. So I got an extra $5 off! Also there was a $1/1 any O, Eating Right etc.. that was left by the lady in front of me and I think he may have scanned that as well even though I didn't buy any of those items... What do you guys do when cashiers make mistakes like that? I was thinking I should call the store and pay the $5 back but I don't want to get a cashier in trouble?

Thanks for the details. I understand about the doubles since I am in N. Cal too, so I dream of doubles as well. I wondered since I was trying to add up how you managed that deal, and couldn't figure out how you got it free, but I guess if the cashier made a mistake then that would explain it.

As for the mistake, if it were me, I either would a)call or b) go to the store and let them know you think a mistake was made in your favor and you would like to rectify it. They will be so shocked that you want to give the money back, that they won't believe you and would probably say don't worry about it. Either that or next time there is an error the opposite way, say nothing about it and call it even.
