$0.99 Gillette bodywash @ Safeway!

Gillette bodywashes were included in the Mix and Match sale at my NW Safeway yesterday for $2.99 each when you buy 8 qualifying items.

For Gillette use the $2/1 to get them $0.99 each, and then also use your B1G1 coupons to get some free! Even if you just used the B1G1 coupons, it would be $1.49 each--still a good price!

How do you do this? When I try to use more than any 1 coupon ($2/1 and say a bogo) the stores tell me I can only use one or the other, not both. So many stores are no longer accepting multiple coupons because I think there are too many of the "extreme" shoppers. What is the normal rule, do we go off of the store policy or the coupon (if it doesn't say cannot be combined with any offer) are we able to get them to see that it can be combined?? Still new to all of this.

That is a good price. I may have to stop there. I really like when we could get them free when K-mart was doubling up to $2, but that has been a while and my stock is really low! This ends today, right?

Sorry, just saw the other posts--the deal ended yesterday--now Old Spice and Irish Spring are on for $2.99. There are some B1G1 coupons and also $1/2 out for the Old Spice--not sure about the Irish Spring...

Oooh I may have to investigate this tomorrow! This is the only brand of deodorant my boyfriend uses and he would love to have a stash!!
I have a ton of these coupons too!
So....is this considered piggybacking then?

The sale is for 2.99 if you buy 8. So that's $23.92. If you have the coupon for $1 off two, that will give you $4 off. Then you get 8 free body washes? So, 19.92 for 8 sticks of deodorant and 8 things of body wash?

There is supposed to be a sale at Walgreens for $2.99 Gillette and Old Spice bodywash next week 6/19-6/25, but my closest store is an hour away, so I did this deal instead. With the Wags sale there is a limit of 3 per store coupon, and not sure if the Old Spice deos are on sale too, so not sure on your OOP. With this you'd have to do multiple transactions to get the number you want...

With the Safeway sale, you can mix and match any participating products in the store to get the sale price on the bodywash, so you don't have to buy 8 unless you wanted to. And your calcs are correct if the deos are the same price as the bw's (wasn't sure if they were included in the sale)...happy shopping!
