Safeway - Man. Q and EQ policies changing

The last time I was in (week/week and a half ago) I bought the BC cake mix and frosting. I watched e-coupons come off and then go back on once they scanned my paper coupons. My paper coupons were a higher value, so I thought they finally caught on and figured out a way to only accept one. I haven't tried since then. I'm ok with that I guess. It sure was a nice freebie/cheapie ride while it lasted.

Yep I stopped loading EQ's onto my card too unless i really need an item that they have a EQ for on their site and I dont have a MQ for that item lol. Makes it hard to shop there :D. When i first found about it i was buy the trop 50 that was on sale a few weeks back and i had the $2/3q that pepsi put out and I guess sometime i tneh past i loaded a trop 50 EQ onto my card and I had no clue it was on there anyway the casher rang in the paper MQ and it would not work and he said he could not take it and so i argued with him over it and showed him the wording on it and that i had the correct item and he eventually just hand keyed in the coupon price. When I got home i realized the reason it did not go off was becasue there was a EQ that was already on my reciept. thats when I started not loading EQ's onto my card. ITs really frustrating

plus for me the paper Q is usually better since it will double!

I live in California and had the same problem at Safeway the other night. The register beeped as she scanned one of my coupons and she told me that there was already a just for you coupon for the same product loaded to my card. The strange thing is that it didn't do it on any of my other coupons and I know that I was doing match-ups with the ore loaded coupons and my manufacturer coupons.

FYI, quick note about the deleted earlier post. It is ok to discuss policies that are at "the managers discretion" at a store, e.g. the manager knowingly allows something that is not the normal corporate policy to happen at their store, such as ignoring coupon limits etc. It is not ok to talk about circumventing store policy by seeking out cashiers that are willing to "push things through" and go against store policy.

Ok, I am now really confused. Dont want to misuse coupons. I read and re-read the Safeway coupon policy revised as of 2/16/11. Seen conflicting posts on the forums.

Can a paper man q be used with Safeway electronic coupons on "just for you personalized pricing"? Visual examples welcomed.

I think you can, I think the Just For You would be considered a Store coupon and you can combine both manufacturer coupons and a store coupon on one item. I believe the register will beep if it thinks you can't do it.
