Default How many stamps to put on an envie of coupons?

I can't find the thread that I saw ages ago on this. How many stamps do you put on an envie to ship 30 coupons, 50, 60, or even 100? Is there a list of the costs somewhere on HCW?

I have never seen the list but if in doubt always take it to the Post Office. Also if the envie is the least bit thick, add a little tape to it just in case it won't go through the postage machine easily. If an envie should be damaged it sometimes takes the P.O. a couple of weeks to send it in a special apology envie and the receiver could miss out on a sale or even worse they could reach the receiver expired. Just my random thoughts.

My guideline is 1 first class stamp for the 1st 40 coupons if they are normal shape and size. Every 40 or so after that you need to add another stamp. Be careful that you use the ones for 2nd oz, so you're not spending more than you should.

I haven't seen that thread. All I know is that you can send 1 oz per stamp, standard domestic postage. So if you have a 1.1 oz envie then you need more than 1 stamp to cover the postage (you can get lower cent stamps); you can calculate it at usps dot com. The weight will vary depending on the size, weight, kind of paper the coupon is printed on, ect. HTH???

Thanks for the help. I do have an old food scale I got to weigh my rations on Weight Watchers years ago. It weighs in ounces. I think that will work just right!

I purchased a cheap postal scale on ebay. It's not convenient for me to go to the post office and I certainly didn't want to have envies delivered with postage due or held up somewhere. No one has told me they've gotten any envies with postage due, so it must be pretty accurate. I generally try to get 1 ounce in my envies to get my $.44 worth! I would think your food scale would work great.

What a coincidence! I actually looked this up earlier for an envie that I was mailing out. Here is what you are looking for I believe.

I get 100 insert coupons in for 1oz as long as I cut all the extra paper off them, thats a .44 cent stamp and if you go over you have to pay 17 cents for the next oz you send..they do have 17 cent stamps I just bought a book to keep on hand..

I have a postal scale for its just to hard to run to the post office for my every few days.I hope this helps..
