If you have over 100 of each coupon listed regularly, you are considered to be running a clipping service. These type of posts belong in our Hot Entrepreneur forum. Find out more about how to become a HCW Hot Entrepreneur HERE . If you occasionally have over 100 of any given coupon, please list it as 100+. Internet Printed Coupons effective 5/5/09 Members are allowed to trade a limit of 2 each of all valid internet printable coupons. This is not per forum, this is per member. If you traded 2 or more of a specific internet printed coupon in the past, you are able to trade 2 now under the new rule. The exceptions to this as of 5/11 are as follows: 1) If more than one legitimate site hosts the same exact coupon and you are able to print 2 from each site, you may trade more than 2. You must include, in your trade post where the coupons were printed from. Example: 6 widget coupons. 2 from the ABC company website, 2 from RP.com and 1 from such and such healthy eating website. Please note: Often times, multiple sites will have the same IP coupon listed, but the links all go to the same place where they print from such as bricks. This means that regardless of how many smaller sites link to it, you are able to print one set from that main site. 2) If the internet printable site resets and allows for a second round of printing, you can print 2 more and trade 2 more, but again, please note in your post that this is from the coupon reset. The goal in this is to let members trading for your coupons know where they are coming from. We do not want "mystery IP's" traded here. If you do not know where it came from please do not trade it here. Also, please note, if you decide to trade for multiple printables with one member without asking for the source of each coupon, we will not mediate a bad trade report if the coupons arrive and are not legit. When posting your coupons for trade or auction: 1. Traders must accurately post what the coupon is for. - If something is free when you buy (wyb) something else, do not list it as a free coupon.
- If something is free after mail in rebate, list it as free after MIR not free.
- If a coupon has a store logo on it, this information must be disclosed.
- If there are state restrictions, this information must be disclosed.
2. We ask that you do not post any portion of the UPC Number of the coupon in your auction posts. You may however, post if a coupon is DND 5, DND 9, or store only coupon coded (ie starts with a 0) 3. You may post a direct link to a manufacturer website in you auction. You can also post direct links to promotional websites. Examples of promotional websites are movie cash.com & mycokerewards.com. You may not post a link to any other website in your auction with out express permission from the administrators of Hot Coupon World or site moderators. If you are unsure if your link is acceptable, please contact the forum moderators. 4. To illustrate the item you are trading or auctioning, you may post site appropriate photo's in your post. Photos that are found to be too large, not site appropriate or excessive in number will be removed by the moderators. Please do not post pictures of a coupon unless you VOID out the upc in the photo. Holding a trade: If you plan to hold your end of a trade for any reason, you must let the other member know you plan to hold your end until receiving theirs. Bumping: Please see individual forum rules for how often posts can be bumped as this vaires by forum. In all forums, answering a question is not considered bumping, but please take back and forth conversations to private message. Friends may bump your post for you within reason. Editting/updating your OP is not considered bumping, however a reply stating that you have updated your OP is bumping. Members that are found guilty of not following the bumping rules will receive a warning or infraction as determined by the mod in charge. Paypal Transactions:
1. Sellers and traders can specify in trade posts that payments must be personal transactions and be existing funds so no fees will be charged.
2. It has been decided that sellers in auctions and traders that are receiving money CAN ask the buyer/winner to pay all of, 1/2 of, or some portion of the fees associated with them receiving the money.
This must be said up front, either in the auction post, the trade post or at the beginning of trade negotiations.
Only actual fees can be charged to winners/buyers. No handling fees, or fees for personal transactions. Other info: It is illegal to sell coupons. You may however ask for a handling fee for your time to collect, cut, sort, and mail coupons. If you are trading for paypal, you may set your handling fee + postage. No other fees can be added in. Any trading messages left as a visitor message will be subject to deletion without further notification. The store/deals forums are not for offering coupons for trade posting. PLEASE check feedback of all auctioneers before bidding. HCW world is not responsible for transactions. Failure to follow the rules can result in warnings/infractions & loss of the ability to trade here at Hot Coupon World. Not following through on a trade or auction is subject to bad trader proceedings. Please be aware that all trades must be conducted in the trading forums, and all correspondence must be made via private message or email. PLEASE keep in mind these are the rules but they are not all inclusive. If a situation arises not included in these rules, there are moderators in place to handle or mediate the situation. Housekeeping: Here at HCW we strive to offer neat, clean forums. If your post is no longer needed, please add the word DELETE to the title of your thread. A moderator will remove it from the forum for you. If your post is over a year old and you are not able to edit (wish list & have list forum)please use the alert icon so that we may remove it in a timely manner. This info has been compiled exclusively for use at HotCouponWorld. Permission to repost in any part or in its entirety is denied!

| Re: Rules: Forums for Trading: Share the Wealth - MUST READ Forum: WARNING: Bad Trader Listing
We all know that trading coupons can be a great way to maximize our savings. However, from time to time, a trade between members can go a bit sour. The same applies to our Trains. They are a lot of fun, but are treated as trades and as such, not mailing your end of a train is subject to bad trader proceedings.
To help protect our members HCW instituted a bad traders listing. This list will only be viewable to registered members and include the bad traders user id and partial address.
By participating in a trade with another HCW member you agree to this information being made public on the board. After 2 unresolved bad trades the offending user will automatically be banned. 1 unresolved bad trade will result in a 5 day ban from the board.
If a trader is reported to a member of our staff as a possible known bad trader on another site or sites, our staff will carefully research each report and take appropriate action on a case by case basis. If the person in question is indeed a known bad trader they will be banned from the board and listed here as a bad trader to warn others.
A trade has gone bad when a participant has not received their end of the trade by 2 weeks of the agreed upon send date.
We ask, that before reporting a bad trade, you contact the other member to try to resolve the trade. Often its a simple misunderstanding that is easily resolved.
If the other member does not reply, or no resolution is reached fill out our bad trader report found HERE. Please fill the form out completely.
Once your report has been filed it, it will go to our bad trader mods Asweetheart, Bugface711 or Phmom. She will contact the other trader and may contact you for copies of PM's if necessary.
If after 2 weeks, the trade is not resolved, the other member will be put on the bad trader list. At that time, you can also leave appropriate feedback.
If at any point, there are two seperate open bad trader reports on any one member, that member will be blocked from all trading forums until the reports are resolved. As soon as the missing trade is recieved, we will reinstate acess to all trading forums.
Please note, that if you leave negative feedback before filing the bad trader report, or during the 2 week time period, the bad trader report is closed.
It is a good idea to keep all PMs, emails, and other information you receive until after the trade is completed. That information is our main tool to help members when a bad trade occurs.
Please remember that at the end of the day we're all here to try and help each other make the most of what they have.

| Re: Rules: Forums for Trading: Share the Wealth - MUST READ Auctions: Please see post #2 above for rules that apply to all trading forums. Please note, auctioning coupons is fast paced due to exp dates and short sales. Do not have an auction end if you are not able to declare your winner and pm them within 24 hours of the auction ending. Listing: All auctions must be hosted on Hot Coupon World in the Auctions forum. All off-site auctions are to be posted in the Hot Entrepreneurs forum for a nominal yearly fee. The template found HERE is to be used for all auctions. It includes all info required of auctioneers. (added 10/7/08) All auctions are moderated and must first be approved by a member of our mod staff. While we strive to get them approved as fast as we can there are times when the auction mod is not online to approve them. It can take up to 24 hours for them to go live on the site occasionally longer but. Please keep this in mind when hosting an auction and selecting an ending time. Internet Printables in Auctions: Each auction can only contain 2 of the same internet printed coupon. Auctions with more than 2 of the same IP will be deleted. Members may host another auction containing the same internet printables: 1) If more than one legitimate site hosts the same exact coupon and you are able to print 2 from each, you may host a second auction. However, you must include, in each auction post where the coupons were printed from. 2) If the internet printable site resets and allows for a second round of printing, you can print 2 more and auction 2 more, but again, please note in your auction that the coupons are from the coupon reset and on which site.. The goal in this is to let members trading for your coupons know where they are coming from. We do not want "mystery IP's" traded here. If you do not know where it came from please do not trade it here. Items not permitted to be auctioned in addition to the list in post #2: - Unspecified Potlucks (All auctions must clearly state the exact coupons or items for bid, you may not hold auctions for potlucks based on have lists etc. You must write out what coupons are up for auction, if you wish to do undisclosed potluck trades you may do so in the trading forums but not in the auction forum. *** However, a potluck may be added in and listed as an extra in your auction.
- If you have a coupon received in email or any other type of electronic coupon, you can not trade the link. You must print the coupon and mail it.
You may post 15 auctions per week. The listing week will start on Sunday. All auctions must have a clearly posted ending date, time and time zone in the title of your thread. If you live in a time zone that for any reason does not match up with the rest of your zone you must note it in the auction. (example: arizona does not adjusting for dlst so for part of the year it coincides with pst). Example: Auction #1: 5 coupons for __________. Ends 1/11 @ 7pm CST If shipping is not addressed in the auction terms, then the seller is responsible for shipping the item to the bidder. Holding shipment: Rule: If you plan to hold your end until payment is received you must include this information in your original auction post. We do suggest that you put some a restriction to the effect of: if the winning bidder is a trader with less than 10 positive feedbacks, no recent feedback or a neutral or negative feedback, to send their end/payment first. Buy It Now Auctions: Buy It Now only auctions are not allowed. HCW has a Trades forum where you can trade your item(s) for a set trade amount.- You may list a regular auction that also gives your bidders the option to Buy It Now.
- We allow buyers to "buy it now" at any point during the auction.
- All sellers that wish to offer a buy it now option must include this in their original post.
- This option may not be added once a bid has been made.
- The buy it now amount must be clearly specified including bid types.
- Members wishing to purchase a buy it now item must do so in the auction thread.
- The auctioneer then must declare the auction over with BIN, in the thread.
Members using buy it now should follow up with a pm the auctioneer, this could help speed up the shipping process. During the auction: You may add items to your auction to increase bidding. You may not extend the ending date of your auction for any reason if there are bids made in your auction. You may add more forms of payment to increase bidding, To add more payment/bid types to your auction, reply to your auction with the new payment type(s) being added. Pm the moderators to let them know you have added a new form of payment. They can update your original post for you. If a member bids with a payment type you did not include in your original post but you wish to include that bid/payment type, please reply to your auction with that information. If a member pm’s you with a payment type not included in your auction but you wish to include that bid/payment type, please reply to your auction with that information. If a member makes a bid that is not on your list of accepted bid/payment types and it is not a bid/payment type you wish to accept you do not need to do anything. Bumping: Sellers may bump their auction 3 times every 24 hours. We do not say per calendar day because of the different time zones. Adding to your auction does not count as a bump unless it is found that you are only adding as a way to keep bumping your post. Cancelling an auction: You may cancel auctions if there have been no bids on your items. Once someone has made a qualifying bid the auction must remain up and you are obligated to fulfill the auction terms. To cancel, reply to your auction thread that you wish to cancel and then send a private message to the auction forum moderators or use the alert icon to report the thread. The auction moderators will remove your thread for you. Bidding: All bidding must be done in the auction thread. Bids via pm & email are not allowed. You must be a member of the trader user group to bid on an auction. Traders are first traders in training. To become a trader in training see sign up information HERE. ALL BIDS ARE FINAL! - Please do not bid on an auction unless you are prepared to follow through with your bid. Your bid is a contract with the person holding the auction. You may not edit/change/delete your bid once it is made. Failure to comply is subject to negative feedback and/or bad trader proceedings. Please read the original post before bidding. Please be clear in what bid type you are making when bidding. example, if you can pay $4 in paypal, cash or RME, state that in your bid. If you are bidding $4 paypal then state $4 paypal not just $4. The seller may opt for $4 paypal over your $4.50 concealed cash bid because he/she does not have to wait for it to be mailed. If you are not clear in what payment form you will be making the seller may just skip your bid. Declaring a winner: Winners must be declared in the auction thread within 24 hours of auction end time. Auctions end at the exact time stated. The HCW time stamp shows hour, minute and second to make this easy. If your auction ends at 6pm EST, a bid at 6:00:00 is a valid final bid. If someone bids at 6:00:01, that bid is 1 second past the end time and therefore is not valid. You must look at all posts before determining the winner. The last post is quite often, not the winner. Make sure the bid has come in before the auction ended. Also make sure that a previous bidder did not post a higher bid of the same payment type. You may not choose a winning bid that is not stated in your auction as a bid type. Example: you are accepting Paypal only. John bids in free cheese coupons. This bid is not valid unless you replied in your thread during the auction that you are willing to accept this bid type. If you are accepting several bid types, like coupons, gift cards, concealed cash/stamps, paypal handling fee, RME, then you may choose which bid best suits your needs. This means that a seller has the option of choosing a lower value bid amount if it is a payment form that they prefer. Seller also has the option of choosing a lower bid that includes coupons. Example: Mary bids $5. John bids $5 with 10 coupons from the sellers wishlist. Grace then bids $5.25. The seller may choose the $5 with 10 coupons. Contacting the winner/seller: The seller is obligated to either send a private message, to the winner of the auction within 24 hours of the end of an auction. The winner of the auction is obligated to reply to the seller back within 48 hours of the time the private message was sent to arrange payment or other terms of auction. If the winner of the auction does not reply to the seller within this time frame the seller has 2 options. 1. Hold onto the coupons and file a bad trade report 2. Host a new auction, trade the coupons keep the coupons. But please let the auction mods know. When a winner is not delcared/winner is not contacted Sellers, not following through on an auction will result in a bad trade report and or appropriate feedback being left. When there is a clear winner there are two options available to the winning bidder. 1. Hold onto your winning bid and file a bad trade report. an auction mod can help with this. 2. Let the mods know you wish to keep your winning bid and the mods will leave appropriate feedback for the seller. Mailing time: There are several variables that can speed up or slow down auction win mail times. This is why there is no set time frame after an auction ends in the rules for mailing. There could be up to a 72 hour window of time after an auction ends for contacting each other to inform the winner and to exchange addresses paypal info etc. A good guideline to use is to mail within 24 hours of getting the address. Shipping: When auctioning off a package if you are not using First Class Mail, Parcel Post or Priority mail, please note it. Media Mail does take significantly longer to arrive and if you are shipping via this method, bidders need to be aware before bidding. UPS, Fed Ex, DHL need a home address so members that use PO boxes need to know before bidding. You can use any shipping method that you wish appropriate for the items you are selling, however you cannot inflate shipping charges here on HCW. If it is $4.60 to ship an envelope out using priority mail, then that is the amount you would charge. Other info: We reserve the right to cancel or delete any auction that does not comply with the rules or we feel does not meet the standards set forth for the site overall. Please note also, when there is confusion about bids, bidding, pm's regarding auctions, declaring the winner or any other issue that arises where a clear answer is not forthcoming, the mods will sort it out using the rules as a guideline. By hosting an auction you are agreeing to these rules and any decision that is made regarding your auction.

| Re: Rules: Forums for Trading: Share the Wealth - MUST READ Trades: Current Coupons Please see post #2 above for rules that apply to all trading forums. This forum is for the trading of current or non-expired coupons, rebate forms, actuals, gift cards or other items. Posting in the Trades Current Coupons and Offers Forum is a great way to find the coupons and items you need. We have rules and guidelines in place to ensure all traders have the same opportunity to be seen. Please note: Posts are removed from the forum on the seventh day of inactivity. Number of posts allowed in the Forum: You may post multiple new threads per day in the Trades Current Coupons and Offers Forum as long as they are "unique haves and needs". What is a unique post, what is considered excessive? A unique post is a have or need that is in a different category from other posts you have in the forum. Different categories include: Coupon haves Coupon needs Things you collect such as box tops for education, campbells labels for education, coke codes. Rebate forms. Formula checks Potluck trade envelopes You should only have 1 ISO coupon(s) post up at a time. You should only have 1 post with your coupon "haves" at a time. You can update the title and the content of your post, or you can edit the title to "delete" and start a new thread when a post is no longer valid. If it is found that a member has multiples of the same type of post, these will be merged by the moderators. You can not post more than 5 new posts at a time, bump more than 5 old posts at a time or a combination of the 2. This gives everyone a chance to be seen at the top of the trading forum. Posting all of your needs or haves: There is a Wishlist and Havelist forum. Please keep long coupon trade lists in these forums. Bumping: We ask that your limit the bumping (replying to your thread to make it "bump" to the top of the page) 3 times every 24 hours. Your original post counts as #1 on day 1. Bumping your existing post is replying to it with the message *bump* (or something similar). This will move your post back to the top of the heap and display it on the front page again. Anything that you do to move your post to the top of the page is considered bumping. Answering questions about your post is not considered bumping. Editing the OP is completely OK --it does not move your post. Making a separate post stating that you have edited your OP IS bumping. Asking for a post to be deleted and reposting in under 24 hours is also treated as bumping. You may have friends bump your posts as long as it doesn't get out of hand. Editting/updating your OP is not considered bumping. Adding a reply stating that you have updated your OP is bumping. Answering a question is not bumping. Members that are found guilty of not following the bumping rules will receive a warning or infraction as determined by the forum moderator. Removing your post from the forum: Here at HCW we strive to offer neat, clean forums. If you no longer have/need the items in your post please use change the title of your post to DELETEso that we may remove them in a timely manner. HCW is not responsible for bad transactions. PLEASE check feedback for all traders and check the warning bad trader listing regularly. Please remember to include your member name in or on your envelope when sending a trade. The goal is for everyone to make lots of great trades. Having these rules in place help us achieve that goal every day. Trading Tips and Etiquette found HERE

| Re: Rules: Forums for Trading: Share the Wealth - MUST READ Wish Lists: Seeking Coupons or Actuals for Trade This forum is for parking of members' wish lists, which members leave in one spot and update regularly. Please see post #2 above for rules that apply to all trading forums. Each member is allowed to have only one thread in this forum.
You can create your wish list using our coupon database. Instructions found HERE. We ask that your limit the bumping (replying to your thread to make it "bump" to the top of the page) to once every 24 hours. All posts in the Wish Lists: Seeking Coupons or Actuals for Trade Forum will be purged from the system by a Super moderator, the head moderator of the trading forums or the forum moderator in the event that the member has not logged into HCW at any point in two months time. Once your wish list post is 1 year old, it is no longer able to be edited. At that time, the forum moderator will remove your thread from the forum.

| Re: Rules: Forums for Trading: Share the Wealth - MUST READ Coupon Trains: Hop on Board This forum is for the posting of Coupon Trains. Please see post #2 above for rules that apply to all trading forums. Each train will have its own thread in the Coupon Trains Hop On Board forum. Each conductor will have their own set of rules required to ride on their train listed in the thread. These rules are in addition to HCW's overall rules and also need to be followed to ride. To join a train you must:- Be a member of the Trader User Group.
- Have an Itrader rating of at least 5 unique feedbacks with no negatives.
Not a trader yet? click here to become a trader in training. Traders in Training will become Trader User Group members after 30 days and 5 positive feedbacks. Some rules that vary from train to train include: - The procedure for removing expired or soon-to-be expiring coupons.
- Requirement to post when you mail and when you receive envelopes.
- What can and cannot be included on the train in addition to the list in post #2.
- Conductors can request a minimum feedback rating for riders of their trains.
- The mailing schedule.
You may only join 3 trains at one time. If you are already on 3 trains, you must wait for your ride to be over on one or more before conducting or joining a new train. If you are on a one time mailing train and your part is over (meaning your end is received and you've received your envelope(s) you can contact the Coupon Trains mods for an exception. If you do try to join a 4th train without approval, your conductor will be notified that you are not eligible and they will remove you from the train.
If it is found that a member is not posting as required, not sending the coupons according to train specifications or following the train rules, they may be limited in the number of trains they are able to ride or be removed from the train forum entirely. To conduct a train you must: - Fill out the train conductor application.
- Have ridden on at least one train here at Hot Coupon World.
- Have a positive Itrader rating of at least 30 unique feedbacks with zero negative ratings.
You will only be allowed to conduct one train at a time your first few times out. You are never allowed to conduct more than 3 trains at a time. Approval is at the discretion of the train moderators. Other Coupon Train info: We suggest that you ride one train at a time when you first start riding. Trains are NOT intended to be a way to get rid of those coupons that are considered ‘junk’ by the majority of couponers. Please be considerate to the other riders by including coupons that others will want to receive. In other words, unless someone is specifically asking for joint supplement coupons or something similar, chances are no one will want these and they will take up valuable space in the envelope for the duration of the train. That space would be better being taken up by a more desirable coupon. It is not fun to be on a train and receive an envelope full of worthless coupons that nobody wants to take out! If you have a question, please be sure to copy both train mods Chitownmelli & Dominicsmommy on pm's to get the fastest response. Please see Hot Coupon World's Train Frequently Asked Questions HERE for more info about train styles, mailing dates, what to include, sign up info and more! If you would like to start your own train we have a great Hot Coupon World Train Conductor Frequently Asked Question section HERE. This thread has tons of suggestions and tips on how to make your train a great one! Train derailments are treated as bad trades and are subject to bad trader proceedings as well as infractions and negative feedback. Please do not join trains if you do not intend to follow through with your end. This info has been compiled exclusively for use at HotCouponWorld. Permission to repost in any part or in its entirety is denied!
