Re: Rite aid 6/28-7/4 I agree, I would contact the bank and ask to speak with a manager, even if it is too late for you this time, so they know how you were treated and so the tellers will be trained to accept the checks.
I'm afraid I would have issues cashing mine at my bank, too, so I just take it to Rite Aid, and while they won't just cash it for me, I can buy anything (I've bought a $.25 piece of candy and paid with a $60 check). The til automatically shows that they owe you the difference.
Last time, the cashier did call the manager over to approve something, but the manager congratulated me on my big rebate check and said she wished she could do as well.
If Rite Aid refused to let you do this, I would ask for the manager right then and there and tell them, "Because Rite Aid chooses to mail these non-standard checks, my bank is giving me problems with cashing them. You need to either flat out cash my check or allow me to buy something and give me back my change."
Sorry you had so many problems! And I hope that Lowes gift card is something you actually wanted instead of something you settled for because you didn't know what else to do! |
