Today I got to use the $8/2 Cover Girl coupons. I love them. Before I started couponing, all of my make-up was two years old and I never could afford to buy more. So I'm thrilled to be building a small stockpile of it.
Anyway, the coupon websites said that Cover Girl would be on sale at Rite Aid. I headed over to my local one and there were no sales marked. (I had not thought to look at the circular.) So, I picked up the items I would like to purchase and asked for a price check. They were all $3.99-4.69 with my wellness card. I thought that was great!
So the cashier started ringing them up, and for some reason they came up full price ($6-8.) So she decided to manually adjust the price down on each item. I used the coupons and walked out with eight products for $2.
Later, I looked at the circular and it said the sale here was BOGO 1/2 off. So really, I should have paid more than I did. Plus, I ended up with +UP rewards of $10.
I'm feeling guilty now. I try to be honest in my couponing. Did I do something wrong here?

You did not purposely mess up, so try not to feel bad.

Re: Feeling like I did something wrong...
Thanks, Lori. This is a quiet town and I go to that Rite Aid every Sunday and see the same cashier. I'm always the only customer in the store at that time, too. I don't want to get her in trouble and have her remember me every week. LOL.
