    QUESTION Help! Rite Aid

I never shop at the pharmacies. I was curious about rite aid. If I sign up for the wellness card and purchase something that's in the weekly ad that qualifies for +up rewards, then do i get that amount off automatically? Or do I have to earn it by paying full price and then come back later and buy the product and redeem my +up rewards?

Also if you have +up rewards and you buy something that qualifies for say $1 up reward, then can you use a $1 up reward that you have already earned and earn an additional $1 up reward at the same time?

I am fairly new to couponing and any advice would be a great help!

if you post this over in the RA forum you will probably get more helpful responses. Also, amylynne (the mod over there) has just written a new RA FAQ that is really helpful and a must read if you are just starting out with rite aid.

If something is on sale for 3.99 with a 1 UP+ then you pay 3.99 and get a $1 reward to spend on a future transaction. You can use that reward toward anything in the store except a few excluded items (rxs, cigs, alcohol, gift cards). If you spend it on an item that is generating UPs you will get the new UP.

Yes, but only if there are no limits listed in the ad for that item. RA recently started putting limits on the number of "deals" that produce UP rewards per item in many cases. Prior, it was no limit for the number of deals you could do for the same item.

So if in the ad it states Limit 2, that would mean you can only do that deal twice, and since it's tied to your Wellness card account number, the register will not produce the UP rewards should you do a third.
