The last Duracell rebate said "spend 19.98" so it might work if you buy 2 at 9.99. Some have had luck calling Customer Service and having them push the rebate through.
I was wondering if RITEAID is like CVS does Duracell $9.99 plus $9.99 equal 20 dollars for the rebate? I mean does that qualify?
Or would I have to buy over 20 exactly to get the rebate. If so what would be the cheapest duracell product to do so.
Thanks for reading.![]()

I called customer service and they wouldn't push it through for me. THe woman said "No one has ever done that" after I told her that friends had received the rebate for making the same purchases I did and CS had pushed it through for them. Does anyone have a name of someone who did push it through for you in CS?
If the rebate book says "spend $20" and someone spends $19.98, they have not met the requirements of the rebate and should not receive it. I'm not sure how ethical it is to ask for a certain CS person who will push it through knowing full well that you did not fulfill the requirements. At CVS, sometimes the ECB will print if you spend $19.98, but it should not be expected, and you should consider yourself lucky.
When I called CS the woman I talked with said that probably they could push it through for me but if I called them back after the promotion period was over. She said that she couldn't do it before the promotion period was over. So, she wasn't guaranteeing that I could get it pushed through, but basically said it would probably happen if I called back. I think that I am going to buy an extra $4.99 pack of batteries, call CS and if they don't push it through, then I'll enter that receipt into the website. If they do push it through, I can return the extra batteries.

The woman I spoke to said basically the same thing...she hinted that if I had waited until the period was over they would probably have done it, but she said they wouldn't now because they notate on your account that you called and it was clarified for your during the rebate period when you still had time to purchase the extra.
And, yes I know that if the rebate states $20.00 and you're at $19.98 then you haven't met it. However, one of the rebates started out if you purchase $15.00 of Duracell and then in the middle of the period some of the literature changed to $14.97 to accomodate 3 $4.99 packages of batteries so that's why I called to check on this one, but found that this one is actually $20.
You're absolutely right. Usually I'm the stickler for ethics but I didn't really look at it that way. Like I said in another post the reason I thought they might make an exception for this one is because they changed a rebate before from $15 minimum to $14.97 minimum because of the $4.99 packages. (and not because I called and asked...they changed the whole promotion)
