Kenzey's mom, that is great news! Sometimes an apology goes a long way. :)
The meeting was not my idea it was the DM's, but I also thought it was a little extreme. Well, I actually went to their "meeting" today and thought it was kind of productive. The manager apologized for her behavior and I was told I would no longer be encountering clueless cashiers when I hand over my coupons. The manager was also made to understand that coupons are a form of tender and a customer that spends $60 even though it is being paid with coupons is a valued customer.
The only problems seems to lie within the "one per purchase" line. The DM claims she contacted customer service and the regional manager and they both said that a purchase was a completed transaction. I told her I respectfully disagree and gave her two news articles I found online that actually discussed couponing and the use of multiples coupons as well as the difference between purchase and transaction. She said that she would look into it and contact me by Monday when she finds out further info. Oh well, at least I got an apology from the manager, and I won't give this another thought since there are lots of stores around me that I can get great deals.

Yes, I thought the same thing about the apology. I feel better about this manager and the situation. I am not sure what they mean that a purchase is a completed transaction? It's like ok and..... I do not understand what that has to do with coupons.
It really sounds like they are trying to be reasonable and are trying to clear things up, instead of just arguing and being non customer friendly. Progress has been made!
I hope that they see the light after further investigation. Good luck.
First let me say that I love shopping RA and love all the deals.
So what is up with the wellness program? While it was in trial areas they got AMAZING coupons, $3/$3.99 cosmetic purchase? Count me in! Well now that it has gone national we get measly $1/$10 seasonal purchase Q's?!?! So not fair...
Now to make matters worse, there is a Huggies deal going on. Buy 3 packs get a "reward coupon" of $11.99 at checkout. BUT...once again only in the 4 old trial areas.
So why is RA giving these 4 areas such special treatment and treating everyone else like we are not as important?
Doing what I can to remain a Stay at home Mommy to my 2 Drama Queens
I actually laughed about this one yesterday - went to RA & they had those $2 water coupons taped to the water so I worked a case into my deal. Took it out to the car & went back in to get more water & the cashier says the coupon says one per customer & that means one per day so you'll have to come back tomorrow! LOL! I just walked out without buying anything else.
I dont know for sure.. because I am not RA.. but lots of companies run a "bata" on a small group of people before setting something new loose .. to make sure there are not "bugs" in the system. My first guess would be.. when wellness+ started the coupons were HOT HOT HOT.. and we got a lot of awesome deals.. now RA sees that people will shop.. even if the coupons are not so hot... and they can keep a few more bucks in their pockets if the coupons are not so hot.. so the backed down on the great coupons. RA is NOT reimbursed for RA coupons like they are for manufactures coupons.
Now.. why these 4 cities.. who knows.. I do know that Buffalo NY, well upstate new york, redeems more coupons per capita (more per person) then any other city in the states.. so I could see Buffalo as a place to introduce a new coupon/reward program.. the other 3.. who knows.
I would say.. be patient.. the wellness program went nation wide.. so this +UP rewards will too (my store manager said late summer, but dont hold me to that) and there are still great deals to be had with the lesser wellness coupons.
