We are now only allowed to buy 2 sale items. However if it is a BOGO sale then I'm allowed to buy 4. This limit is per HOUSEHOLD

This came directly from the district manager.

Don't panic folks...........tomorrow it will change.
Oh my goodness!!!! Rite Aid managers can be absolutely ridiculous. I've heard of one that said you may use only one $/$$ store coupon for your entire lifetime. Almost too strange to believe!!

    Default Question about Coupon Policy

I read this in the sticky:
"Warning: Right now the store managers are being told something different basically every single day. Our store manager has not even been able to reach the district manager in a very long time so they are kind of out there hanging with no direction. There are a lot of changes taking place at Rite Aid right now and according to my store manager he can't even tell me who is charge right now at the upper level. I can attest to this with my attempt to resolve issues at the regional V.P. level. I have YET to hear any response or acknowledgment. This written coupon policy did NOT match what my store manager has been told and hence my warning. You can print this copy off but do not be surprised if the store manager tells you something different. My store manager had decided to follow what he has been told and NOT this email. I think everyone is under tremendous stress and awful working conditions because they do not seem to know day to day if they will have a job........on the other hand, with the lack of customer of service / respect I can certainly understand why they are going out of business."

What sort of problems are you guys running into?

I went to one store yesterday and tried to use my $5/$20 RA Q for watching those videos. The scanner couldn't read the bar code so the store manager (who was checking me out) told me that if it doesn't scan, she can't take it....corp policy. She further said that it wouldn't matter since it was $20 after coupons. So I gathered my coupons and left empty handed. Went back after shift change and bought things just fine....$5/20 was before coupons and when it didn't scan, she just typed in the Q manually.

I have had the same with the $5 off $25 coupons. One manager will tell me that if it doesn't scan they can't use it, while another one just puts it right through with no questions asked.

    Default Trip to Rite Aid

I'm a newbie and I just made my first trip to Rite Aid to try to get the tylenol deal along with the purina dog food. I asked the cashier if they take internet coupons and she said they could only take one per transaction.

A bummer for someone like me who hasn't built up her newspaper coupon collection yet. :shrug7:

On the bright side, I did get the tylenol for next to nothing. ($2.20 minus the $2 rebate).

    Hello fellow SouthernBelle!

Sounds like you have a store that isn't coupon friendly. Is there another store in your area?

Rite Aid being a corp. has to have its rules universal. They do accept internet coupons as long as they scan. Just ask the cashier to scan and if they refuse kindly ask for the manager. You shouldn't have a problem.

I agree. I'd ask for a manager. If that doesn't resolve the issue, then I'd file a complaint on Rite Aid : Contact Customer Service

That's what I did when I was told they'd only accept one internet coupon and I got a call from the store manager the next day who apologized and told me to come back and they'd "honor all my coupons". He also told me if I had any further issues to contact him directly rather than complain on the site. I've had a couple issues since with silly cashier's interpretation of coupon policy (no internet coupons, $5/$25 Q after coupons, limit one coupon per transaction, etc.) and contacted him and he's addressed it right away. His cashiers all know me by now and think twice before assuming their interpretation of coupon policy is correct. Now if I could only get them to stock up for sales better and allow a BOGO Q on a BOGO sale for two free items (manager has not allowed that).

There isn't another Rite Aid in my area, as I believe all of the others have gone out of business. But thanks for the advice!! I was unfamiliar with Rite Aid's coupon policy and I read somewhere (not here) that they do not accept internet coupons at all. When I went in there, the place was dead so you would think they want to sell all of the merchandise they can! Maybe I will try again towards the end of the week. Thanks guys.

At my local Rite Aid's, they have a sign right up by the register with their return policies, etc. & listed on there is that they accept ONE internet coupon with a face value of up to $5 per transaction. That being said .... they've never enforced it with me. =) The register certainly doesn't know the difference.
