Okay what's the secret to actually finding the meters? Every time I look for one they are all gone, even on the first day of the sale. And you couldn't have used all 45 q's in one day at one store? Or could you?

I don't know, this time around no one was buying them at my store. I bought a bunch during the deal when you bought three bayer products you got the extra $6rr, and had my store order 20 for me. Picked a few up here and there throughout the month at other stores. Just got lucky I guess.

OT but- I am also THRILLED to have found several shelters/organizations that are desperate for these babies. Yahoo!

I have become quite friendly with my RiteAid and Walgreens staff. At Walgreens, they were kind enough to special order a few for me.... I never did that before but I mentioned to them they are always sold out on the meters when there is a RR, she offered to order some for me and keep them aside. But when they arrived...I went in yesterday and there were a few still on the shelf even yesterday (two days into a great week long deal on them). Thankfully, since I ordered mine, I didn't need to worry about leaving some on shelves for others (i hate shelf clearers). I suspect this week there were some still out there (at a store I know there are several other couponers) on Tuesday because most have used all their coupons.

So if you become friendly with the staff, it can be quite helpful to your couponing. My fav cashier will trade coupons with me, alert me to unadvertised deals, even give me next week's flyer (usually it's already posted by then). I return the favor by donating food and other things I have extra of thanks to couponing (she's a struggling mother of two). I actually am thankful to have found someone I know who I can unload the extra food, toiletries, etc. I get. I was ecstatic to find someone I knew who actually could use the stuff.

In my scenarios I have all different prices, no more than 2 in one price, since the $4.99 ones are hard to find!
Potassium Glocomate (from memory) is $4.99 too IIRC (if I remember correctly).

NBTY (Natures Bounty parent company) also makes Ester-C, Sundown Vitamins, and Knox....all of which regularly have coupons that score me overage (I have so much Sundown Vitamin, I could open my own Vitamin Store).

Hey John- ot, but have you looked into donating some of your vitamins/J&J products? In the last couple of days I have been researching organizations here locally and found several groups (women's shelters and homeless shelters) that are super thrilled to get the meters and Vitamin D and J&J (plus a bunch of other stuff), but those items specifically. Which is great, becasue I happen to have a whole small shop's worth of inventory of those things.

~There's a great website I found with listings of shelters by state...here if you're interested
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
(Click on your state, then click on "find homeless resources")

Thanks for the link. I give to friends and neighbors (some people bring a bottle of wine...I bring a bag of goodies) but there is only so much they need (really how many bottles of vitamin d does any one person need?). I've been meaning to look up a local shelter so this link is helpful. Sadly, there is nothing real close so I'll need to save it up for when I head towards downtown. I was sort of hoping there would be someplace on my daily Publix-Wags-RiteAid-CVS "route" that would allow me to donate almost as quickly as I acquire some of these things (I always grow short of shelf-space in my storage). And my needy mother of two Wags employee doesn't need but one bottle of vitamin d and no blood glucose meters so it will be good to find a home for them.

    Thanks again.

np- I know what you mean - I give goodie bags to friends and family all the time, but like you said, there's only so much Vitamin D and Phazyme a person can use. :D

    WOW and
I printed this 3 deal scenario off last night - got all the coupons sorted and went to 3 different stores today. I know I could have probably done them at 1 but sometimes you do not want to push your luck or arouse management suspisions. Probably just aswell I had already planned this as the stocks were quite low at each store.
The cashier that took the first transaction took my pile off coupons and said - no you can't possibly use that many coupons they will not work. I politely asked her to try and she nearly dropped to the floor when she saw they all went through! Had to remind her to give me my Game of Life tickets LOL Ended up with 24 tickets.
It was pretty much the same at the other 2 stores. I was short of a couple of the smaller coupons listed in the scenario so my OOP was $5.75. For over $80 of products and SCR's to come of $35 I am so happy and excited.
Do you get a rush when your deal works? Felt like a high!
Ok folfs - need MORE deals - think I am addicted.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your scenarios for us newbies.

So when you have them order them for you, you have to do each one in a seperate transaction for the RR to print right? They don't look at you like you're crazy? I haven't been able to find a cashier that seems to be friendly yet towards couponers at Walgreens. They all seem to get aggravated. A new one just opened that I've found that seems to be much more coupon friendly.

Maybe I totally missed something but where do I get the $5 Natures Bounty coupons? I registered on their site; however, all I got was $2 and I didn't want to waste my ink on those. Thanks!
