I'm getting a little nervous with 2 $20 GOS that I haven't use and would love to maximize them - are there are any scenarios that would net the most P&G for that rebate - any double dips - I have a headache, not sure how you guys pull this all together - simple remarkable!
I would hold off until next week. There's an SCR on oral-b toothbrushes, plus sales on olay and covergirl. There are two olay rebates mentioned in the database, plus a good covergirl deal outlined in next week's thread.

I'm surprised that not many people have used the $2.00/1 Nature's Bounty printable.

If you already have an account, just login and it will be available for print. If you don't, register and then you'll be able to print. It comes up as a Bricks coupon, so you should be able to print two.

There is a higher value Q out there if you have the codes to get 500 points. I was able to print 6 coupons.

I'm glad you said something! I was trying to come up with a scenerio for this week and I have (4) $5 NB coupons from that site. I didn't know if maybe it was banned or we weren't allowed to talk about that. :shrug7: We are, aren't we? Cause I'd really like to use those Qs!!

Today I had a manager deny me from using IP's and VV coupons together on the Chex Mix. I had 2 x $0.50 Chex Mix IP's and $1/2 VV coupons and he told me that since the VV coupon says "manufacturers coupon" on it, that I couldn't use it in conjuction with the IP's.

I told him that the VV was a Rite Aid coupon since the bar code starts with RC but he told me that wasn't true.

What was more ironic was that on another item (Trident gum) he let me use a RA coupon from a Game of Life game piece in combination with a manufacturers coupon! I asked why that one but not the other and he said because the Game of Life coupons were store coupons not MQ's.

Does anyone know if the manager was correct here? I don't remember VV's being used with MQ's as a YMMV thing but I wasn't 100% sure so I didn't argue with the manager.

You can use them. They are supposed to adjust the Q price so not to give overage.

Nope, he's wrong. Any coupon with a RC barcode is a RA coupon. Try again when he is not there. If you still have no luck, call corporate.

Went to my RA to use 2 $5 NB IP's on the NB BOGO sale. I was looking for the overage. I grabbed 2 Potassium 595 bottles and my toilet paper. The cashier (a shift supervisor) accepted the 2 VV for NB and then refused my $5 NB because the bottles I grabbed were only $4.99. She was then, saying loudly, "this is coupon fraud, you cannot use a coupon for more than the product is priced". I am still a newbie and did not want to argue, although I stated that another RA had done it for me the day before. Still insisting this was coupon fraud, she would not shut up to let me ask why they would not just adjust it down. So I told her I did not want to finish this order and I left.
I know their coupon policy says they can adjust down a q to the price of the product. And I know they accept VV's in conjunction with MQ's. (The VV's say 1 per customer, and so I did not want to push that button.) But what is the official RA take on overages? I was worried that if I tested her on the adjusting policy, that she may bust my chops about the fact I would be getting a $7 overage from using these q's. Should I have stood my ground better, or was I actually bending the rules?

    My goal scenario was;
    2 NB Potassium 595 $4.99 each
    1 Quilted Northern 12pk $6.49
    $16.47 total
    -$4.99 BOGO NB
    -2 $1 NB VV
    -2 $5 NB IP
Total -.52 oop I grabbed a candy bar

I would greatly appreciate your wisdom!

    Thanks!

Other then the 2 VV's (technically they could only take 1), I think you were fine. They're policy is to take 1 coupon per item, even if it's BOGO, and they should have just adjusted the $5 IP's to $4.99 each.

After my visit today (when I couldn't find my printed copy of the coupon policy I usually keep in my purse), I printed a copy of the coupon policy to keep with me and I'm on a mission to find a written copy of the VV policy so that next time this comes up, I can show it to the manager.

My take is that overage is a YMMV situation at RA. Since you were paying $4.99 for the first bottle and zero for the second bottle (BOGO),then I think they might be able to legitimately "cap" your coupons at $4.99 for the two bottles (vs. the $12 in total coupons you had for the vitamins). I have done this deal a few times and if I got shot down at one store, I would not try to argue....I'd just politely ask for my coupons back and leave and try at a different store or with a different cashier.

While I haven't been shot down at this great money maker (and the point of sale system allows the overage), I do feel lucky to get such a great overage....just my two cents.
