Update on me vs. Rite Aid...BTW, my separate thread didn't get mopped or in trouble or anything. Our lovely mod and I just agreed this was a better place for the issue.

I called the SCR program. They were most un-helpful. Basically I got through to a supervisor who told me that no one should EVER be entering in all their receipts from Rite Aid in the system because it could be for the big "f" word...fraud. She said we should only enter receipts with known SCR items on them. Mmmkay. Some of my stores are terrible about signage and I'd hate to miss $$ because I overlooked a rebate in the book. I guess I don't really understand that because it's not like I have 400 receipts I'm entering. I have maybe 4 per week. Is it really outrageous that someone might go to RA 16 times per month? Isn't that what they want??

I told her that didn't explain why most of my receipts from February are still sitting in my account not doing anything. She said most likely my account was not able to keep track of my receipts because I had "so many" and now it's just sitting there. There are 6 pending. That's "so many?" Before that she told me that I must've entered all my receipt numbers wrong.

She said she noticed I shopped at many stores and that may also be an issue. Let me just say that we literally have a RA on every 3rd block in my city. I frequent different ones for different reasons. It was another bizarre call. I mean, their system shuts down for shopping at too many stores?? Seriously??

She also elaborated on the fraud thing. I won't go into detail but basically if that's the case their system needs to be revamped because their programmers are not very smart.

So you shop too often and enter your receipts and they think you may be committing fraud? Wow....I can't think of a worst way to treat someone who is clearly a frequent customer.

Um, yeah. Apparently shopping too much could be fraud.

Wow! That is crazy. I encourage my mom to enter all of her RA receipts online (even thought I don't think she does) because she is not as good with coupons and knowing the rebates. I am sure she has bought rebate eligible items and missed out. I will definitely be watching carefully to make sure all of mine clear.

And the shopping at different RAs thing is crazy too! I too live in an area with lots of RAs. On a daily basis I pass at least 3 different stores going to/from work and any would be convenient for me to stop at. On the weekends when I am out and about I pass a bunch of other RAs and find new ones all the time (today I just realized that the RA 5 minutes away is actually not the closest, there is one like 3 minutes away ).

I have always felt that emailing the questions online about the SCRs gives some stupid answers that are not at all helpful. I had bought a travel size tide for that $35 P&G gift card. It didn't apply itself to it but other stuff on my receipt cleared. I emailed them to ask why it didn't apply to the deal and they gave me the answer it takes 7-10 days for it to show up :hectic1: I think the answers must be computer generated by picking random words in the email and finding a topic that relates to them.

    Hi,

I read through all the posts and didn't see this question (sorry if it has already been asked and I overlooked it).

How does a rebate work for little OOP? I bought the Gillette Shave Cream that is on SCR this week but I guess I bought the wrong one (SCR is for $1.99 and I bought $2.99 one)..I paid with the GOS check so my OOP was .40 cents. How would they go about refunding and all that good stuff? Can anyone help? Please..

    Thanks in advance!

They refund the full value--the GOS is a form of payment.......they need to refund 2.99. Then go buy the correct one and enter it in the for the rebate.

I have a question about the wellness card. I know that it is only good in pilot areas. I filled out the form online and they sent me the card. Unfortunately, I'm not in one of the lucky areas. Can I still have the store scan my card to get points on it(sort of a head start for when we do get it), or do I have to sit and watch my card collect dust until it comes to my area?
