    QUESTION Using the GOS

What is the best way to use the GOS? What do you spend yours on? I never spend $20 there so I can't figure out what to do. Maybe something that never goes on sale or is never free/cheap? How are you using yours?

I am using mine on Black Friday. There is nothing this week or next that excites me and totals $20. Truthfully, their BF ad stinks compared to last year, but it will help get the $20 GOS spent.

Not sure I can post it because the preview is from another site. There is only 1 true freebie, but a nice collection of things that are like 25c after rebate and cpns (so more or less FREE once you consider a $5/25). So I think I'll get as much as I can of that stuff...and maybe some milk or whatever if I need fillers to reach $20.

I used mine last year on a pepsi/frito lay deal. They were offering a coupon rebate for buying a certain number of 12-packs and chips/dip. Those rarely have coupons, and pretty much never have good coupons, so it was worth it to get some with almost no OOP.

This year I think there will be enough freebies on black friday week to use it then.

Does the GOS affect the rebate amounts if I use it towards SCR items?

I am going to use mine when they have the Colon Cleanse product FAR that is about $18. I don't want the product, but do want to roll my GOS into cash. I try to use them to buy other FAR products for just that reason, unless there's something else I really want. To answer a previous post, no - using the GOS will not affect the rebate amount you get back (or at least it never has).

I just barely qualified for the $10 one (still learning from all of you!) and I used it today. Here's what I did:

    2 Quilted Northern toilet Paper 5.99 each - $5/2 Video Values - (2) $1.00 MQ = $4.98/2
    2 Nair wax strips BOGO 5.99 - $3/2 IP = $2.99/2
    Crest with scope 2.69 - .75 MQ = $1.94
    Kotex 2.99 - $1.00 IP = $1.99

    Total: $11.85 - $10.00 GOS = $1.85 OOP

I think this was pretty good! We desperately needed toilet paper and I needed the Nair, so doing this deal was perfect timing! I will also get back $2.00 for the Kotex and $2.69 for the toothpaste with SCR. I love Rite Aid!

LOL, me too. This is my plan for next week:

    colon cleanse: 17.99
    benevia drinks: 7.99
    dulcolax balance: 6.99
    duracell power pix 4-pack: 5.99
    subtotal: 41.59 with tax
    -$5/25
    -$5/1 benevia IP
    -$4/1 in-ad RA dulcolax coupon
    -$3/1 dulcolax hangtag coupon
    -$3/1 in-ad RA duracell coupon
    -.75/1 duracell MC
=20.84, use GOS and pay .84 OOP

Then for black friday weekend sales:
    philips ear buds: 4.99
    oral b toothbrush: 2.99
    scope outlast: 3.99
    secret deodorant: 2.49
    tampax pearl: 3.99
    duracell power pix 4-pack: 5.99
    schick disposables: .99
    subtotal: 27.15 with tax
    -$5/25
    -$1/1 oral b
    -$1/1 scope
    -$1/1 secret
    -$1/1 tampax
    -$3/1 in-ad duracell
    -$1/1 duracell
    -$2/1 schick disposables
=12.15, use $10 zyrtec rewards check and pay 2.15 OOP

I'll also have to buy 1 more pack of duracell during the week, so my total OOP would be 5.38 for the week. Then I should get back $50.47 in rebates
