I still dont get how this works, I looked on the site last night, but how do you know what needs to be added to the catalog? And how do you know you will get paid for it

Simple answer, anything that you think of, or you are expertise in or comfortable in.

Everyone is expert in something, forexample search "Similac" or "enfamil" or "luvs" or "Good start" on WIGIX.

I own all those pages, and i can bet that if you were given chances you could have done that too same way i did.

Now what do i get by doing that?

Very first thing every week there is contest of catalog building, and to add item(again not selling just adding item description) in the catalog if i get any winning position (there used to be top 10 every 10 days, now top 5 every week),i get some money. I earned over $400 in last 4 months. you can see all history up to 3 months on WIGIX, nothing i can hide :-)

Plus, a big plus, by adding them in to catalog i own these pages, so now if you, or any one sell that item on WIGIX i will make money. Not even if some one sell, even if you view that page WIGIX runs ads on every pages which makes money so I'll get money from their earnings.

Just look around you and see what can be sold (or check ebay what is selling most), or just use your expertise (or ask me i can guide you) and add anything and be part of the earnings "forever" by owning the item .pages
