My brain has decided that Valentine's Dinner for DH will be:
Lobster and Asparagus Risotto
Steak(not sure which cut I will get yet)
Salad
Cheesecake for dessert
so..... what would be something you would LOVE to make for a Valentine's meal for you and your SO, or your kids --- or anyone special to you? It could be something that you wouldn't actually try to make, I just want to know what great ideas we all have floating around in our heads :)
If you have a great recipe that you DO prepare for Valentines Day, please feel free to share that as well!

I'm still very torn on what we will actually be having - it normally ends up being some kind of surf and turf or ribeyes from my favorite butcher. I'm just not so sure exactly what we will be doing this time.
If I could make anything in the world for Valentine's day - I would do a week of surf and turf, including ribeyes from Ray's butcher shoppe and crab, shrimp and lobster. A couple of scallops for DH, I can't have scallops but I would be more than happy to make them for him. In fact... I think I will lol.
We will be having our traditional heart shaped meatloaf, pink mashed potatoes, strawberry milk and some veggie that I haven't decided on yet. Also need to come up with a dessert.
My 7yo aspiring chef says he would make:
-a heart-shaped raspberry swirl cheesecake with melted chocolate hearts on the plate
-a hamburger with heart shaped buns
-no veggies (he doesn't like 'em)
How many days until summer?
those are cute ideas!
I am making shrimp skewers, ribeye steaks, snow peas and twice baked potatoes. And for dessert I will make my great grandmom's sugar cookie crust cheesecake. (DH lovessss this)
This weekend I am babysitting my cousin's 4 year old and 6 year old. I am making white chocolate covered oreo's and choc. covered strawberries with the kiddos! They loved doing it last year!
Our favorite is sushi and CA rolls in the living room as picnic! (My six yr old will surely opt out in favor of pb&j...)
I am ordering out for valentines day this year since i have to work (indian food) but i am making dessert Black forest cake...
We are doing heart shaped meatloaf, too. I was thinking of making small individual hearts instead of one big heart this year.
