Thanks, but I totally stole the idea from Martha Stewart. Although she made larger cakes and carved them into the shape of pinecones. I did the egg shapes-- soooo much easier.

This is the cake from the bakery for ds#2's 3rd birthday last month.

Cute as heck but dry dry dry. Very disapointing!

I don't have a picture of it but for DS birthday (Bob the Builder theme), I took a plastic dump truck and filled the back of it with dirt cake. Then I cut out some pictures of Bob and Wendy and pasted them to the windows of the truck. I put this whole thing on a sheet cake frosted green. I put the candles in the dirt cake. It turned out really cute and yummy.

Oh I really love these! I may give them a try for christmas & add a little powdered sugar or something else for snow. However I will have to sit back, admire & lets others partake as I am allergic to chocolate.

Wow, everyone has fantastic talent!!! I love the pinecone cakes. I have to make a cake for a party next month and I think I am going to try that!!

Here's the Pablo cake I made for DS's 2nd B-day. It needed a bit more time put into it, but I had a toddler and a 1 1/2 month old who wanted to nurse contantly. I'm surprised it turned out as good as it did.



I have two more I made for my SS's but they aren't on my photobucket and I am at work.

these are the frog cupcakes I made for DD's 2nd bday. Her party is next weekend at my MIL's so I will post the cake picture later.
The cupcakes were a big hit with DD who wanted "froggy cakes". I tinted lemon frosting green and they were yummy. I was able to make the cupcakes egg-free since we have egg allergies in our playgroup.
