Thanks, again! I made for DS class (my DD wanted me to make suckers for her class). They were a hit. My chocolate cake recipe makes 9 cups of batter, so I was able to make 24 cc for his class, 12 cc for my MILs Bible study, and a 6" cake for my girlfriend's birthday from one batch....woo hoo !

I made this cake for DD1's 6th birthday. It was spur of the moment, the night before her party and this was what I came up with. I used some kind of large M&M's for the castle. The door and the "mortar" between the M&M "bricks" and the grass are colored sugar crystals. The little flowers in the grass are those tiny candy balls (can't remember what they are called). I used a toothpick with a tiny bit of frosting to put them in place. The words "Happy Birthday Cali" are also the candy thingies. I had no room on the actual cake for the words so I did them separately on a smaller cake. That took forever to position all those little balls. My BIL said I was nuts to take the time to do that!!

These are the ASH ice cream cone knockoffs. DD age 3 found mickey mouse rainbw sprinkles to top the cupcakes. The whipped buttercream recipe was a hit! The kids licked the icing like soft-serve ice cream. We got some great kid pictures!

April's wedding shower cake and nannie's cake are my two favorites. The wedding shower cake is stunning! I wish I could see a bigger pic so that I could check out the detail on the dress. They're all so pretty!
