Link doesn't work (at least FF doesn't like it)
Are you talking dough like fake sugar cookies or cinnamon dough?
This is the link to my favorite cinnamon one from Allrecipes:
Click for recipe
There are a couple of the sugar cookie looking recipes on there. Both the exact same ingredients. Haven't tried them though.
I second the idea on the cinnamon ornaments.
These are not only pretty but smell good.
Please Help me saveon the things I need here!
if you can say a prayer for my family!
I must confess . . . I am a Duggar Lover
This is the one we have used the last couple of years:
SALT DOUGH
My ds loves to make ornaments!
As far as how long they last, I still have some I made as a kid with my mom, 30+ years ago!!! Just make sure you bake them well and they have plenty of extra dry time while hanging on your tree! I keep all my dough ornaments in a tupperware container with a good tight lid. Each row separated with paper towels!

There is a ornament recipe on McCormick site that calls for ....3/4 cup of applesauce and a 4 oz. bottle of cinnamon... that's it.... sounds so easy. They sent it my e-mail today. Has a video to show you how to make them. ( cinnamon ornaments) Look under Holidays.
I've been trying to decide on how to decorate our tree this year. I think I'm going to let our 4 and 2 year olds make ornaments this year!
with the applesauce and cinnamon recipe use equal parts of both if you need bigger batches. Also if the cinnamon smell isn't stong enough after weeks. Simply add a drop or 2 of cinnamon oil on them. These can be used for years. Makes good handprints for hanging on the tree for grandparents gifts.
