Default Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

I know this may sound silly but I've never eaten roasted pumpkin seeds. My husband wants to try them but I'm not exactly sure how to prepare them. Do you use seasoning? Bake them how long at which temp? Any suggestions would be very helpful.

My DH loves these.

You can also season with garlic powder, onion powder, seasoned salt, or other seasoning you like.

I love these. I make them every year.
I rinse them and let them soak in garlic salt water for about 30 min then I let them strain for 5/10 min. Then I coat them with extra virgin olive oil and spread them out single layer on a cookie sheet. I give them a sprinkle with the garlic salt and let them toast anywhere from 325 to 350 depending on how much time I have. I keep an eye on them and stir periodically. When they start to -pop- They are done. Yum. Yum. Yum!!!!!!!

I love these too and make them every year. I let mine dry for 24 hours. I make a mixture of butter, garlic salt, worchestshire sauce, soy sauce and then spread them out on a cookie sheet. I roast them for about an hour. Yum. Now you just made me hungry for them.

I do it with winter squash seeds too. Right now I have Spaghetti squash seeds roasting. My DH will eat all of them in one sitting if I let him.

Guess I'm a traditionalist.
Rinse seeds well.
I don't even "dry" them. Just shake most of the water off.
Put 'em in a ziplock bag with a couple Tbs. oil, shake to coat.
Spread out on cookie sheet, try for one level, none "stacked".
Salt well, bake at 250 deg. until they look dark enough.
Cool on paper towels to soak up excess oil.

Same for squash seeds.

Garlic salt is yummy as is popcorn salt.
I spray the pan with olive oil and roast at 300 until lightly brown.
Easy Peasy!

You think you sound silly, onehotmomma, but I am going to top you. I found a recipe and cooked them (pretty much like y'all said) but then wasn't sure how to eat them. Do you eat the entire thing or shell it like a sunflower seed? They are hard to get out, but eating the whole thing is a little too fibrous. I did it as a "fun activity" with my kids, but then didn't know what to do with the result.
