Just a warning - they never actually sent me anything that said my rebate was denied, I had just found out by checking the status on their website.
And I definitely second the gift card point. I specifically brought that up on the phone yesterday. I said that RRs are like cash - for example, Target has promotions where you buy a certain item and get a free Target GC. If someone uses that gift card to buy the Renpure product, they wouldn't be denied the rebate. RRs are the same type of program - you buy a certain product from Walgreens and Walgreens gives you a RR to use later, it is similar to a gift card. So the woman I spoke with says, "But you didn't use a gift card, did you?"...
It is like talking to a wall with them. "Renpure considers Register Rewards to be another offer and we can't give you a rebate for that." (Well that's pretty convenient for Renpure to think that, while the rest of the world doesn't) "Usually people think it is a nice gesture for a company to offer a rebate on their product." (NOT if the rebate is a scam!)
I usually am not this upset/mean in regards to this type of thing, but I really feel this is a scam. It is not my fault that they put out a rebate with no expiration date and no limit per household and don't want to pay out all of them, so therefore, my rebate shouldn't be denied because of this. I've never even done a Renpure rebate before. You better believe that I will be contacting Walgreens to let them know that one of the brands they carry is basically putting the blame on Wags (customers upset that their rebate was denied specifically b/c of Walgreens RRs). I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau in Minnesota to let them know what is going on, although I'm sure they already are aware - but the more the merrier!
Good luck to anyone that is still waiting on their rebate(s)!
