Generally that is the way I have done it. If the rebate is looking for a crt total, then I make sure my total after everything is done meets the requirement (like $50 in your example). Some will argue that coupons are a form of payment etc, but I don't like to chance it on big rebates like that.

If the rebate is just looking for one type of item (ie meat) that I would say you don't have to worry about coupons unless that is the only thing you bought on the crt.

I have been couponing for over a year, however, I am just starting to get into rebates. I need some help. Does anyone live in eastern NC, where I can get Beer Rebate Forms? I have not seen these in many grocery stores. Please advise what stores may have so I can go get. I am not wanting to sell, just to use for myself to get rebates.

Thank you for all this great information.

I have a question about some of the Miller Lite rebates. I have one that is $7.50/$20 wyb meat, seasoning, salty snacks, deli items, frozen pizza or water (min $20 purchase). I'm trying to "think outside the box" on some of the rebates.

The question is: Can I submit a RESTAURANT receipt for this rebate? It does not say that the purchases must be made at a grocery store. If I buy one chicken entree and one beef entree could I submit it if they are over the $20? I think this is iffy but wanted to see if anyone else had tried it.

Thanks and reps for an answer!

Not sure about that one...your best bet is to call the # on the rebate and ask. I think they pull up a page on the computer telling parameter details. They are usually very lenient, I would say yes from buying entrees from the hot deli at the grocery store, but not sure about a restaurant.

I sent off a grocery rebate- I believe it was 10% off a grocery purchase up to $10 (minimum $50 purchase). The envelope came back un-opened with a yellow "Unable to forward" sticker. I checked the instructions on the rebate form, and I followed everything to the letter, even the postmark date. What is a possible reason it came back?

Newbie question!

When a rebate says that it must be postmarked by Feburary 5, 2010, does that mean I can still mail it out tomorrow (the 5th)?

Thank you so much in advance!

Yes, you can.
I would ask my po if the envie will be post marked today. Sometimes the mail doesn't go to the po that night. Just depends on when your carrier gets back to the po and when they get their mail picked up to go to the main po for processing. It is possible you could miss the pm date.
IE,,, our po gets mail picked up around 4. So on the days my mail carrier doesn't deliver my mail until about 5, 6 or 7 ( latest has been 8pm,,,,I am rural - lol) ....I know my stuff doesn't get postmarked that day.

Sometimes a po will hand cancel the envie for you. I have been told by one post master that they can't pm envies anymore.
Since then a fill in staffer has post marked another envie for me.

So .....ymmv when dealing with the po.

Thank you for your help!!! I will just go to the post office in the morning to make sure it's post-marked for tomorrow. Didn't want to make the trip though if it wouldn't count.

Hello, I have some rebates to submit. Can I cut my receipt off, where the total price paid is shown on the bottom? I paid practically nothing for the item with coupons but the before coupons price is listed on the top of the receipt. The date is also on the top of the receipt. Does anyone know if my rebates would be accepted? Does this make sense?
