    Default $9/$50 Heineken UPCs?

    For this rebate:

    Heineken $9/$50 Grocery Purchase
    Offer# HUSANA002
NBPR: AL, AR, HI, KY, ME, MO, NC, UT, WV (This is only valid in these states)
    EXPIRES 3/31/12
    NO START DATE LISTED

Is everyone including UPCs? I've never seen a NBPR rebate like this require UPCs. Has anyone called to ask? Thanks!!

I have not, however I plan to include them. Why? Just this week, one rebate was denied because I did not include the UPC from the pizza, even tho the receipt was from a pizza I bought at Pizza Hut. Also Heineken denied a rebate earlier because I had used coupons. Putting those two together, I plan to include my UPCs - just in case. What about other people?

I believe Heineken only requires UPC's for the beer if you live in a BPR state. I live in a NBPR state, did quite a few Heineken rebates last year and never sent UPC's. None of mine were denied for that reason. (I had 1 or 2 come back but it was bec of data entry errors and they corrected/processsed them after I called). Never had a rebate denied bec of coupons either but just in case I make sure that the grand total is higher than the min purchase requirement. I mailed mine without UPC's, no way Im incl UPC's for like 25 items.

I haven't read fine print of this form yet BUT if it clearly requires submission of the item UPCs not just the beer UPC for states that require beer purchase, I'd make sure to include UPCs of the items I buy. I'd rather follow the terms instead of running the risk of a denied postcard later.

I submitted for the Heineken $20/$80 MIR in December and I remember that clearly said UPC for the beer, no UPCs required for other items purchased. I'm in nbpr state so all I sent in was the receipt with the form. I already got my $20 check for that.

Ah, yes, the fine print. That's where it got me. I almost sent it in without grocery UPCs, but it says to send: the cutout of the original UPC label for each qualifying grocery product packaged with a UPC label, and the original crt with each qualifying grocery produce price circled...

I had just gotten home from the store when I was getting this ready. I thought like the PP thought - don't want to send in all those UPCs matched to the crt. But I looked and noticed that I had bought $52.75 in meat, so I just peeled those labels off and matched to the crt. I hate getting rejections. I'd rather do this way. Need to remember that they're doing something nice for us to give us $9 without having to buy their product, so I think it is not too much to ask to do a little bit on my part.

thanks for clarifying, that's new to me. I'm seeing the trend of more beer companies asking for UPCs and like you said, they don't have to offer rebates; the fact that they do, then they can make their own rules

in the past, when I submitted for Corona rebates, this was one company that would require UPCs written on the forms. So now, when I know I'm doing Corona rebates, I make sure to write down the UPC #s of the items that go with the receipt(s). If its a WM receipt, I don't have a problem since the UPCs are there for me to copy but other grocery stores, their receipts don't show UPC numbers.

I'm in a NBPR state and I never include UPCs for the Heineken (Inmar) rebates. Never had a problem with them.

Has it ever had the verbiage? the cutout of the original UPC label for EACH qualifying grocery product packaged with a UPC label, and the original cash receipt..ect?

I don't recall that verbiage before.

I was going to send it a receipt that has over $172 worth of products..but no way in heck am I gonna track down that many UPC's

If that is how they wanna do it..then I will look through my cart for the most expensive, easy to pull of UPC's and run them through first..get to $50..bingo...their is my purchase. pay for it..then do the rest of my purchase.

I recall the verbiage. I got paid without sending the grocery UPC's. I have a copy of the Heineken $20 off $80 Groceries form from last year on my laptop. It also states "the cutout of the original UPC label for EACH qualifying product packaged with a UPC label".

If you google it you'll come up with several similar questions. There were several answers from ppl who contacted the company and were told that you only need to send in beer UPC's if BPR. I recall a previous thread on here about it as well.

They get advertisement in return. Some states are super strict about alcohol advertisements. The company offers a NBPR rebate in these states on things like groceries to directly promote their product. More than anything else, NBPR is a PR gimmick.

Is there contact info on the form (I already sent mine)?

ETA - I just realized that you posted "the cutout of the original UPC label for EACH qualifying grocery product packaged with a UPC label". Thats new! Ive never seen it that spesific before! Hmmm. I guess I'll see when its processed.

Please let us know! I'm gonna wait on this one till the end of march..if you hear sooner..then I'll know if I seriously have to get UPC's..I'm thinking I"m gonna though..cause it says GROCERY.

Ugh $50 bucks of stuff that won't be a PITA to remove, won't ruin the product in the process.
