Called Corona rebate center yesterday to inquire about a rebate I have not received. They respond that the check was sent on some date in September and must have been "misdirected" in the mail. This was a beer purchase required rebate from when I lived in Ohio. I purchased their crappy Corona beer and now they are not honoring the rebate because "the promotion is expired and they have sent the check and it cannot be re-issued." I ONLY purchased their beer based on the rebate and now they are not honoring it.
Their solution was that I could write a complaint to the president and gave me an address. This is totally unacceptable which I told her. The lady just continued to say they sent the check and there is nothing she could do.
I called back and got a more helpful lady who said she will forward on my complaint to some department which will contact me with a solution within 10 days. She said if I don't like their solution at that point to write the president.
It's completely plausible that the post office misdirected the check. That's not really Corona's fault. Did you ask if they have the ability to see if the check has been cashed? If not, you're probably out of luck.
