In the past I've seen posted on HCW the great idea about buying gift cards/gas cards as part of the in-store purchase towards the "total in-store purchase." I called Coors today to inquire if this was allowable with this rebate and was told "NO", "only groceries".


Has anyone else called and received different results? I have called before about what the wording on a rebate might encompass and have come to the conclusion there is some ambiguity, I think it's determined on to whom one is speaking with. Then again, I could be wrong.

They may have been speaking about once they receive the money from the rebate they use the rebate money to buy a gift card and then buy more groceries. For example if you get $30 dollars worth of rebates in one day, cash them in and get a WM giftcard(no activation fee) then turn around and buy more groceries at WM toward your next rebate deal that you need to mail in. Hope this explains it without confusing you too much.
