heads up ADVIL REBATE scanned twice!!

Just an FYI if you submitted for the Advil $5 Rebate noted below. I just got a notice from them rejected my rebate because, "Limit one refund per address". Well, I'm new to rebating and I knew that I have never submitted an Advil rebate before, so I called the number they had at the bottom of the letter (888) 289-2943. She said, "Yes, they have accidentially entered ALL of the rebates TWICE." She looked up my rebate and said that a check had been mailed out on 2/21/10 and appologized for the letter. She was very nice, and when I called, I got someone on the phone right away. Just wanted to give everyone else the heads up on this one.

rebate is:

Up to $5 Cash Back Mail-In Rebate
Offer applies only to Advil 20ct or larger.
Offer not valid on purchase of Advil PM, Children's Advil or Advil Cold & Sinus products.

To receive your Advil Rebate Check (up to $5.00), mail the following three items to the address below:
1) The original UPC code from the carton of Advil 20ct or larger. For 240ct or larger, only the original case register receipt is required.
2) The original cash register receipt dated 1/3/2010-2/28/2010 with the price circled
3) This completed official request form

LOL this is really starting to make me wonder!

I got a letter saying that I didn't have all the requirements!! I called and they looked it up and the extremely helpful lady says that it didn't fall in the correct dates or maybe I was missing the date on my crt...I explained that I did purchase in the proper time frame and that I don't believe that I tore off part of it.
Since she was talking really fast the only thing that I actually caught was that she was sending it through again and I should have it in the next 30 days!!

I would suggest to everyone who gets a letter to call and get it corrected!!

Yep I got my rejection letter today too. Reason: Limit one per address! I guess I will have to call Monday and get it straightened out! Thanks for the heads up!

I got my Advil check today for 4.49, the sale price of 1 Advil when I bought it at WAG. I didn't get the letter since I submitted a WAG rebate receipt showing only 1 Advil since I had only 1 scanned for rebate.

I believe the OP is saying that some of the rebates were accidentally processed twice at the rebate fulfillment center, so that is why people are getting rejection letters - not because they purchased two Advils.

Thanks PurrMinn, that's correct. When I called in, I was told that everyone's rebates had been entered in twice by mistake and that resulted in a check being issued for the first input, and then a rejection letter on the second input The rejection letter reached me first -- haha! But the check is on the way.
