From July of 2009 until now, we have put about $2200 in a savings account just from rebates, on a $50 or less a week grocery/household budget! I am in AL, though, so we get a lot of the wonderful nbpn rebates here! It's so much fun to see your savings grow! We also use this as our Disney/special events fund. I used some of it to take my 7-year-old to Mary Poppins in Atlanta. Good luck!

I did about $1,200 last year in rebates and also live in a NBPN state. Here's roughly how that works.

Certain states have alcohol laws where the beer/wine/alcohol companies can't require you to buy the alcohol. So MIRs will often state things like "Buy $10 in seafood and one 24 pack of Miller Lite and get $5 back by mail." But then the fine print says "no beer purchase required in these states..."

If you live in one of those states you can just buy the seafood, no beer, and send in for the rebate.

Obviously, those of us who live in these states are at a better advantage when it comes to doing rebates. But sometimes there's one from a beer that I actually like, LOL!!! If you happen to live in a NBPN state, they are totally worth it. I'm in NC. I know KY appears a lot... There seem to be about a dozen or so states that get most of the NBPN rebates.

Not super actively trading at the moment, but always interested in MIRs (NBPN in MN), Coke Codes & AMC movie passes! If you insist: my wishlist.
