Default Meat Dairy Produce, work with me

OK, I look at the regular grocery items and we get most coupon stuff very cheap. However....somebody give me some tips on meat, dairy, produce savings.
I am amazed at people who regularly get 80% savings, does that include these items? I can get that on 'coupon' items, but when I add milk, half and half, meat, deli, fresh produce, I'm usually looking at over 50%, but often less than 70% savings. I get the clearance/mark down items often, but I just want to know where this fits in for everyone else?? I do get lucky sometimes and catch a clearance with coupons, but since I usually have 6 or less of a coupon.....there is no way to quickly order for something on mark down. Of course most of the meat coupons in our papers are for brands we don't have. Go fig! Anyway, where does this fit in for everyone else???

I usually get my meats with MGR $ off tags, other than that I rely on mail in rebates on deli, meat, seafood etc to get my money back on these items.

Wine tags are a big money saver for me. I've been fortunate to have found the following ones lately that are fantastic and really go a long way to stretch my grocery budget:

$3 off any produce
$2 off any meat or seafood
$1 off any cheese
$3 off any rotisserie chicken
$1 off any bread

...there are many more good ones out there. These are just a few that quickly come to mind.

Thanks guys, I never find WT, and haven't started rebating yet. Every once in a while I send one in, but WT and rebate forms are scarce out here. Don't know why?? Guess I'm stuck with markdowns and what few coupons I have at this point. I know it will get better.

You can trade with others here for WTs so it's not a lost cause.

I have the problem with no WT's in my area too, so honestly I have probably redeemed maybe five in my entire life...LOL! I rely on rebates for the meat I do have to purchase & we get beef from my dad (he raises cattle), so that's a huge help. However produce & milk eat us a good chunk of my grocery bill.

For produce:

1) when coupons come out for plain, frozen veggies -- stock up
2) do you have any friends who garden? Offer to help them in exchange for their crop. They usually have too much anyways
3) buy what's in season because it's usually the cheapest. Esp with the price of oil, out of season produce imported from other countries is going to be expensive
4) find a farmer's market or a local farm -- often you can get better quality produce for less
5) If you can get winetags, use them

As far as milk goes, see if powdered milk is cheaper. If it is, use it for cooking -- trust me no one can tell the difference. Also you might consider switching to soy milk if you can catch it on a good sale.

Default What is considered steak?

I know that anything that is called steak is considered steak (Flank, strip, NY...), but what about London Broil?

With all the steak rebates for summer that is a lot of steak to consume.
Has anyone sent in a receipt that didn't have "steak" in the name but the rebate was accepted?

Specifically I have a London Broil receipt and I was wondering if they will accept that as "steak"
