? About the Bic $5.99 rebate (6/1) - Page 2

I mailed in the rebate form for the BIC Comfort 3 Advanced with all of the things they asked for INCLUDING the UPC. I got a post card back saying I didn't send in the UPC code from the package. I went and looked at my pack and sure enough I had torn off the UPC code and sent it. But now they are saying I have to send another one in order to get my rebate. What do I do? Is it ok to ask someone here on the board to send me one of theirs that they aren't using anyway, or is that wrong?

Thanks for posting the rebate site, very handy! Mine says my rebate was sent 8/15. Tried to rep ya but not sure if it worked

The rebate form was from Sunday insert if memory serves right.

I just got a reply from Bic stating that the purchase had to be between 6/1/08 and 6/22/08, I don't remember seeing this on the form but I did not keep a copy. Does anyone know if this is stated?

I emailed Bic and did receive a response the next day. I just went to the rebate status website and cut and pasted the information as well as threw in wording from the rebate form. I also let them know I could send them a copy of the documents if they needed them. I quickly received response stating they had made a mistake and would be mailing out my rebate.

This is how the rebate reads, "Offer expires 15-June-2008. Rebate must be received by 15-July-2008". There are not any other dates listed; therefore, they have to honor any receipt dated prior to June 15, 2008. HTH!

Yesterday I also received the postcard from Bic stating the product was not purchased during the correct time. I thought that was crazy since I must have looked at the form 100 times before I mailed it to make sure I didn't miss anything. It clearly did not have a start date on it. As a matter of fact, it didnt even have the company listed and I remember this was confusing.

A few months back I submitted a rebate to Bic for something else and they sent me a postcard saying I made an error. This was completely untrue and before I even got the chance to call them, I received the rebate in the mail. Makes no sense.

I will definitely be emailing them with the fact that no start date was listed on the form.
