When it says "upc codes" does that mean we can just write the numbers down or do we actually have to cut out the upc code from the Viola package?

Most rebates I have done like this require the actual upc. What I do is in a permanet marker I write a reminder to myself(on the package) so when I use the packages I remember to cut the upc before I toss the packages. I have to tell you though when I did a pizza rebate back in october I hade 30 pizzas I was doning multipule rebates I cut them before I put them away and sealed them back closed with duck tape, lol I wanted to be sure I got my $$ back on all those pizzas.

When they require the upc you need to cut out the upc and attach it along with your rebate .
