x7/15/10 SC Johnson $5 Rebate (see link in post for updated form as of 10/1)

This will be my very first rebate. I am surprised to read many of you aren't getting the third rebate. Anyone know the best items for me to get for the best deal? Hoping for a great money maker. Also, if I use coupons, and don't spend a lot, I'll still get the full $5? Some of you are getting your actual checks already? How long did it take to recieve them? Thanks everyone! I am so excited to try this deal, but I don't know what to buy!! I need a good deal! Thank you!

I've only sent in two right now, but I am also planning to do the third. I'm just waiting for Ziploc bags to go on a great sale at one of my stores again before I send in my third one. I'm all stocked up on cleaning supplies but can always use more Ziplocs, so I'm using this rebate to get great deals on them. I ended up making $1 back on each of my first two rebates after sales and coupons. I ran out of Ziploc coupons, which is why I didn't go ahead and buy another set of three when I bought the first two. But we have until mid 2010, so I figure I have plenty of time to wait for another sale to come up.

I sent in my first form on 10/13 and my second on 10/21, and received both checks on 11/19, so it only took about a month to get them.

So has anyone sent in a receipt with less than a $5.00 balance showing and gotten the rebate...or are ya'll covering up your Qs so to speak by buying other products...

I want to use my free coupons at RA to get the GOS balance up too but my receipts will show a subtotal of zero and just tax paid.

When I sent in mine I used them at Target for the glade deal.

My OOP was $5 so I'm not to sure how that works.

I sent one rebate that only showed an OOP of 3 bucks and still got the whole 5 bucks back!

2 of my rebates only showed $2 OOP after mq and I had no problems.

I am so excited to try this out! It is my next step in learning about couponing and saving, and hope it saves me a ton! I am also working on my own website/blog and keeping track of what I'm able to earn towards a goal of $1,000 by the end of the 2010. This includes loose change, rebates, rewards programs, etc. So I was even more excited to find this info. about the rebate and how easy it seems to be. And should be a way of helping me work towards my goal of a savings for the house! Thanks so much!

To keep your OOP low, also look for cheap items like the Glad spray. They are often on sale for $1 and often have coupons. I've also found some of the plug-ins on clearance for $1.09 at WAGS.
