That is ridiculous - poor you. So what other company has "air effects" - isn't that phrase trade marked by Febreeze? I would have the manager at the store write a note about their register tape - that should clear it up.
Lame!
Ok. Its been Eight weeks for me so I called P&G Rebates and asked about this. I explained the promotion, Buy $30 of P&G Products from a participating Giant Eagle store and get a free Black & Decker Dustbuster and the lady checked into my rebate.
It has been DENIED.
I spent over $30 after coupons (as I was unsure if it with work if the coupons took the total below $30), but because my Giant Eagle Receipt just listed 'Air Effects' instead of 'Febreeze Air Effects' the cost of these has not been included and I therefore, according to them, did not reach $30 needed for this promotion.
The lady I spoke to was very nice and said that once I recieve my rejection letter I could argue this with them. The letter should be mailed to me soon.
Has this happened to anyone else? And if so did you get a positive outcome?
TIA

I just called and mine was shipped on 4/20/09. The one I sent to my BFF's is getting a letter. Total receipt was short due to coupons, probably won't get the one I sent to DD either.
well crap - where is everyone calling? I think I got air effects on almost every receipt and none of mine totaled $30 - I can't believe that they are going to pull that one on us, especially since several called and they said coupons wouldn't matter.
UGH! My receipt that total right at $30 before coupons also only says Air Effects. I don't recall if I typed Febreze on the separate sheet or not or if that would even make any difference since the tally sheet is not official. I guess I will find out soon enough.but because my Giant Eagle Receipt just listed 'Air Effects' instead of 'Febreeze Air Effects' the cost of these has not been included
My other order did not total $30 after coupons either, but everything on the receipt has the brand name so I guess that is a wait and see too unless I call. I purposely took that chance though because getting $OYNO was more ideal for my family than the dustbusters.
I imagine very few spent $30 after coupons and I imagine P&G are going to have quite a few rebuttals on their hands if they required $30 spent after coupons since it was not stated on the form and some of the customer service representatives said, "before coupons".
Wanted to update since I went ahead and made the calls. 1.866.538.5230 (Thanks to Neekyme for the # on an old post on another forum)
Mine: The lady said I did not meet the requirement of $30. I said I did purchase $30 worth and then she asked if I used coupons and said it was before coupons and stated the form said the $30 dollars must be purchase price paid(meaning before coupons). I said the form did not say that and that customer service previously said coupons did not matter. She just said I have to wait for the letter and call back.
I couldn't remember if I sent the Air Effects to my address or my mom's so I made a second call just to check if coupons affected the total.
Mom's: Gentleman said everything looked good and should receive the dustbuster soon. :smile77: So mine must have had the Air Effects and that was the reason, not the coupons.
You would think someone at P&G would wonder why so may people were submitting so many receipts with air effects on them if they weren't P&G products.
All three of mine had air effects on them. Definately getting one.
