So I need to spend $50 after q's right. I wonder what is included in holiday merchandise. Probably just not gifts. I guess I could get a new tree! Our lights are have out on our mini tree. Would that count as part of the promotion? And one more q, can I do this any where and do I need the rebate form or can I just use this info here?? THANKS!

It's been my experience that these rebates are pretty liberal on their rules. I don't know if I'd want to try to use say, a grocery receipt, but just about any receipt that appears to be a gift would work.

Personally, I'm using the gift cards from the CVS AMEX ECB deal in a couple weeks, but you could buy a $50 gift card from some other store you frequent and send in the receipt for that. I think the picture on the rebate shows a gift card, batteries, and something else I can't recall off the top of my head.

Does anyone have any thoughts on whether this would work for a restaurant gift certicate?

As long as the receipt indicated a gift certificate or gift card, then yes, I think it would.
