Tell me: Satisfaction Guarantee Rebate Ethics poll

Most companies will give you a free coupon or your money back if you complain about thier product. The companies putting these money back offers out there are using them like rebates but they word it like they do so they get less responses. If they really cared that you liked or disliked thier product they would ask you. Bottom line is that they want you to buy thier product and they'll take thier chances that you won't send in for your money back.

I agree with this statement. I have only done the Live Active cheese. I normally buy the mozerralla for my kids. We love that but the ceddar was dry and hard. So I wrote love one hate the other. Never got coupons but did get a check for all I spent including tax.

I just think it is another way companies want you to try their product just like coupons. Most people are to busy (or lazy) to do either so the company wins out in the long run.

I have never asked for a rebate for satisfaction rebates, and I would Definitely not purchase something with a satisfaction rebate for the sole reason of asking for that rebate... If rebates are abused they are less likely to be offered in the future, and I want to be able to coupon and rebate for a long time to come.
