Last month there seemed to be a rash of bad traders. Too many people were cheated, and it seems to me that we may have lost the happy, friendly loving relationship that trading with your fellow HCW'er provided.

For the month of September, I'd like to ask all my friends here to participate in HCW's RAOK month (which is coincedently National Coupon Month). What I'd like everyone to do (but not a requirement - we won't look down on anyone who decides not to participate), is once a week, try and send out at least one RAOK to a fellow HCW'er. It can be a complete surprise by using the addy of someone you have already traded with, or, send one to someone you have never traded with before

Our first YouTube video contest was so much fun, and I've had people who've been asking when we'd do another one. Since it's been three months since we closed the last one for submissions, we thought we'd go ahead and do another one - right in time for the holidays!

Here's the rules:

1. Create a video about a couponing topic as it relates to holiday preparation. You can do any holiday you like - it doesn't have to be the big ones coming up, but it should address how couponing, stockpiling, CVS'ing, trading coupons, or whatever you like, helps you either get ready for the holidays or helps you save money for the holidays (Stockpile giftbaskets anyone????)


Video Criteria to Qualify:
* You must metion HCW somewhere in the video - words or images are ok.

2. We'll begin taking submissions September 21st. Deadline to enter is October 7th. Voting ends on October 21st. The sooner you get your video in, the more time you have to get votes! You can solicit votes in your signature line, you can create a "Vote for Me" thread in the daily living section, and you can get your entire church, school, PTA, golf team, or gianormous family with all your great aunts to vote for you - it doesn't have to be a HCW member.

3. Submissions need to be emailed to me a hotcouponmama at hotcouponworld.com.

4. We'll upload the videos to our Youtube account and post the URL in the official Crazy Coupon Holiday Video thread which will open on September 21st.

5. The object is that you need to get people to go vote on your video. There will be prizes for the videos with the combination of the most views, ratings, stars, and comments.

First place: $100 Amazon GC

2nd place will win a $50 GC

3rd place will win a $25 GC.


Remember, be creative as possible. You can do interviews, you can set the video to music, be funny, crazy....whatever you can come up with. And videos should reflect couponers in a positive light!

If you have found (on the internet, etc) or received (via email) a coupon that does not have print limitation software (such as bricks, coupons.com, smartsource, etc) then we are asking that you use the forms to notify us of your finds before you post them on our forums.

Once you have submitted the form for a printable coupon and / or link, one of our moderators will check out the validity of the coupon and will notify you via private message or email whether the coupon or link is valid or not and if it is found to be valid they will they give you the go ahead to post it on the forums.

We realize that this system will not be without flaw but Hot Coupon World wishes to minimize the risk and liability should fraudulent coupons be posted on our website.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause to our members, but we hope that our members understand the reasoning behind this action.
