Default Double/Triple Coupons?

I'm a newbie here and have a question. I've never really shopped at Randall's b/c I always thought it was so expensive, but now I have a new perspective! I've seen references on this site to Randall's doing double or triple coupons. Do they always do this or only sometimes? At every store? In this week's ad, I didn't see any reference to it.

Just trying to get acquainted with all the stores.

Randall's triples coupon upto .39c and doubles upto.50c. they will only double or triple one coupon per transaction i.e if u buy 3 same product and have 3 .39c coupon they will triple the first one and will one only credit .39c for the other two.

sort of confusing but hope that this helped u.

they will only double or triple one coupon per transaction
this means LIKE coupons. They will double all of your 50 cents or less coupons you have if they are different and/or for different items as long as you bought an item for each coupon.

but you can use different coupons for the same item
example:
buy two boxes of corn flakes
use a 45 cents off for corn flakes and a 35 cents off for corn flakes and the 45 will be doubled and the 35 tripled

buy milk, juice and bread - use a 50 cent coupon off juice, a 50 cent off milk and a 50 cent off bread - they will double them all - just not two 50 juice coupons - if you buy 2 juices (like lmg said).

I hope i didn't make it worse by trying to clarify. :)

lol

I actually get my very best deals at Randall's! But that's because I "shop with a strategy" (i.e., matching coupons with sales and promotions). I know plenty of people who won't set foot in Randall's because they think they get a better deal at Walmart or at a warehouse club. If you don't want to bother with coupons, then that's probably true. It's their triple-coupons every day policy and their great store promos that make shopping there worth the effort.

If you need to use 2 of the same coupon do you just do separate transactions? How are they about doing multiple transactions? What's the most you've ever done.

If I have multiples of the same coupons, I will just do back to back transactions. Line them all up on the conveyor belt and put the stick in between them.

I have done 20 back to back transactions before with 1 item in each one so I could get 20 bottles of Sobe free after the coupon doubled

Kroger on the other hand will take 3 like coupons per transaction, so it goes a lot faster if you have multiples of the same thing.

depends on your store.
if you get the mean old lady @ gattis school location
you can do maybe two before she calls a manager and complains that you are trying to get something for nothing.
i've even had this woman pull out a calculator to add up my coupons and compare it to the grocery total before she used my coupons
she's an old biddy for sure - and i busted her out right then and there for trying to intimidate me for using coupons at their store - i got a manager that time and in front of him, i told her she could give me all of my coupons back and put up all of those groceries that i no longer wanted to buy - herself and that if i decided to shop in their store again, i would request that another cashier come to check me out even if hers was the only lane open. my tone was nice but i meant ever single word. and another time later on, she was the only cashier there and i did ask that the front end manager open a register to check out my groceries - when the front end manager asked why, i told her because the old biddy (what ever her name was, gladys or something) did not treat me well and had a problem with customers like me, so she opened up a register, took my coupons and my money and said thank you.

she still works there though - a manager in that store even told me that they get lots of complaints about her, but she will work her scheduled days and she never misses a day, isn't late, etc, so they keep her. wish they cared about how their customers are treated a little more but maybe i'm the only one.

lol

i have been known to rub people the wrong way just by breathing the same air as them.

anyway. . . . i forget the question.

how many transactions can you do? i don't try more than 2. if i need to do more, i go put up my groceries and come back inside and do another 2 or else come back another day.

:)

Nope. The highest value they will double is a $.50 coupon (= $1.00 savings). A $.55 coupon is only worth face value.
