I am not couponing lately and didn't pay attention on deals. I am wondering if any of you still shopping the same? I hardly find anything - I went to smart and final just to get stuff and quite pleased with their prices but still something is missing I didn't use coupons....

Times are changing it seems (prices are continuing to rise and coupon values are decreasing). The deals aren't as good as they used to be and so I am using less coupons as well.

FWIW, the deals are still to be had, we just need to look a little harder for them, and *gulp* pay a little more for the stuff that we used to get for FREE.

I couldn't agree more, prices just keep going up on groceries, and the
deals are fewer and farther between. This morning, I bought 2 bags
of Starbucks coffee at Albies for $5 each with a doubler and the $1
coupon from the 1/15/12 SS.
What shocked me was the everyday price for the Starbucks with no sale
or coupon: It would have cost $25.58 for the 2 bags (instead of the $10 I paid).



$25.58, shesh! I'd have to be boiled in oil before I spent that much on coffee!

Challenge butter after 50 % off its $2.75 so if you got 0.75 blinkies and need butter I guess new year price..... $2 for brand name butter ...I previously get them $1.50 so that day was gone
