[QUOTE=Betsy33;2460161]Hi Joanne! It started at 12am Eastern, it looks like, because I've already printed the coupon. It is nowhere near as good as it sounded in the coupon section, in my opinion...

The coupon says: "Buy 1 package Nabisco cookies (4-26oz), 1 gallon of milk, 1 any other size milk, and get a second package of Nabisco cookies (4-26oz) free (up to $4.19)

Sooo, you have to buy 3 items in order to use the q. I mean, it's better than a smack in the face for sure, but the coupon section made it sound like it was just FREE, you know what I mean? And it's not. My guess? The dairy association or board or whatever it's called sponsored the coupon and is paying Kraft some fee or some other deal. Gah. :shrug7: Also, it said we could do two prints, and I could only do one. Could be user error.

But, I'll try to get a a good deal with it, if I can figure one out! Just don't feel too bad you missed it, if anyone does. I need to catch up on what's going around out here...been not well enough to shop since the 1st. Hopefully soon!

    Have a good Monday, everyone!

Betsy33 ..thanks for the feed back on the facebook coupons..nabisco cookies..

Joanne, Please do not be sorry. You share much of your time and kindness with us. You are like Robinhood to me. :-D Thank you in advance for calling Kraft...I think that big companies need to hear from us ordinary folk sometimes so that they remember that even though they are rich and big, there are still humans out there in the world that they are producing for.

Have a good day, everyone! Remember to get your sale items if you haven't already, like I haven't. Going to try to do a trip tomorrow, just a few items:

Ralphs 18 ct eggs 2/$3...going to make a couple quiches with this no-roll press in the pan recipe for crust I have, let me know if you want the recipe, anyone, it's so easy!

Nectarines 99c...I am a bit worried as these are on the "organic dirty dozen pesticide list", but organic is so expensive, I am still weighing my options

Lean Cuisine 2/$3...You can get 2/$1 w/ the 2 $1/1 coupons listed earlier in this thread!! (or 4/$3 or 6/$6, if you printed 2 copies of each q) These are my favorite of the light meals; I think they taste the best.

All $2.99, 99c after $2q...I read that you can use 1/2 a load's worth of All and a squirt of Dawn dish soap and the laundry will come out as clean as if you used a really expensive detergent! I'm going to give it a try w/ my less expensive stockpile detergents. Good tip to know, let me know if any of you give it a try.

Colgate last day of 5/$5 as far as we know! I got a deal's worth last week and put them in my donation box. I always try to get at least ONE item for others when I go shopping. I think it's very important to share our bounty. I'm sure lots of you do this already, thank you!

Betsy - Even though nectarines(44/49) are #6 on the Dirty Dozen list, an occasional splurge and a good washing (you should always wash your fresh fruits and veggies anyway ) is pretty harmless. The idea that you are making a comparison is a positive effort and your budget shouldn't have to overly suffer if you can find a happy medium on your needs vs your wants.

Thank you. This is wise advice. I am pretty new to CA, having grown up in the polar opposite (just about) Midwest. I've already switched to cage free organic eggs and organic yogurt, natural cleaners and a few other things...it's just a lot to do all at once. Thanks for reminding me that moderation is key. It's a lesson I've been working on in general in life lately, and this is a good re-statement of that.

You're welcome! And since we are on this subject, Walmart (I hope you have one near to you) also carries cage free organic eggs as well as other organic items for really decent prices. Just food for thought.

Re organics - if you have a local fruit stand, try there too. We have one that has lots of local produce but is very low key (think back of a warehouse). They have several that are not "organic" but labeled pesticide free and local that are good deals. It appears they just can't get the organic certification for whatever reason but aren't spraying them either. Much cheaper than true organics, and even the organics there are local and competitive pricing on them. I try to buy local whenever I can so stop by periodically. Now if I just had a bigger yard for more fruit trees that could be ideal. My son brought in 200 apples this morning from our tree.

Good advice! I buy local as often as possible too and when I have the time, I also visit the weekly farmers market venues that are set up by the Civic Center here on Thursdays in the AM and PM. The local produce that I have run across is very reasonably priced as well and the freshness and taste can't be beat. The only thing that I haven't bought local yet are eggs at $5/dozen. Just can't justify that one to myself yet since we eat a lot of eggs and I can get Cage Free and Organic eggs for $1 - $3 cheaper either on sale or with a coupon.

As for your apple tree, that is way cool! One of my neighbors has an Avocado tree and a church friend has lemons. I have an orange tree, but it will be another 1-2 years before it is big enough to produce oranges. LOL!
