Thumbs Down Shopped Ralphs tonight 6/26 BLAH!

I tried. Really I did. Had a $10 off catalina to use. Boy was it hard to come up with $50 worth of purchases.

As for their new "lower prices" policy... it's ain't lower if you raise it first! I looked at products which I had purchased last month and found they had raised the regular shelf price significantly, then added that new low price tag back down to the price it was before. i.e. All Laundry detergent - the smallest size, shelf price $7.99 ugh! New low price $5.49. Funny how just last month it was $5 regular price, on sale for $3.99 and with my $1 coupon which double I paid $1.99. It was the same scenario on item after item that I buy regularly. I preferred Vons before this, now I won't even bother unless there's several items in the 80-100% off price range. Gas is too expensive for me to drive the extra 4 blocks to Ralphs.

The one deal I did today was the Nascar Buy 10 get $3 off now.

    BC Fruit snacks 3/$5 - bought 5 c .50/2 SS6/15 (or $1/2)
    Oreo Cookies 2/$4 - bought 2
    Fanta Soda $1 - bought 1
    Grand Biscuits $1.99 - bought 2 c .30/2

    Cost $17.32
    Less coupons doubled 1.60
    Less $3 deal
    $12.72
    Triggered catalina $3.50 oyno

Not a great deal but my family is happy they got treats this week.

Didn't find one thing that enticed me to go to Ralph's this week.

Hi: I see nothing either. McCormick taco seasoning is 50 cents in ventura with 25cent Q 5/4 rp= zip but who's going to drive to Ralphs for this???
Maybe next week or if there are coupons on speed stick in the 6/29 inserts.

That's funny. The only enticing sale item that I saw at Ralphs this week was the Speed Stick as well (DH favorite). Not worth a drive out to Ralphs just for that. Maybe if some Q shows up in this Sunday's paper. Otherwise, NOT!!! I have plenty of deodorant and I am pretty sure that I can hold out for a more coupon friendly store.

I'll only be going to Ralphs for deals like this:

If you get some of the "woman's magazines" that contain a handful of coupons,
look for the Oscar Mayer bacon coupon. It's for $1 off OM bacon and is coded to
NOT double, but combine this with the $1.99 OM bacon sale at Ralphs, and you can
get a pound of bacon for 99 cents!!

They also have Powerade for 79 cents each, so use your 75 cents coupons and pay 4 cents each!! If you have 10 of those Powerade Q's, then Buy 10 Powerade's, combine it with the "Buy 10 Powerade's, Get a free case of Dasani" manufacturer's coupon that was in the Albertsons ad this week, and pay $2.60 (CRV) for 10 Powerade's & a case of Dasani!!

I got out of Ralphs paying $4.54 for:

    (2) OM Bacon (Reg. $13.58 - Paid $1.98)
    (10) Powerade (Reg. $13.50 - Paid $1.36)
    (1) case of Dasani (Reg. $8.19 - Paid $1.20)

Deodorant...haha... PS its on sale next week I think at C*S so pass...

Hello! I'm very new to this site, and I'm curious, what are these "woman's magazines" that contain a handful of coupons? I am completely clueless, and very curious!

    Thanks-
    Rachel

I don't know what magazines that jennifer6183 is referring to as I only suscribe to "all you" mag (great mag for coupons too BTW), but I would like a heads up as well because I am always looking for more coupon resources.

    Oh and "rlwerner" ...

Yes, exactly.... they have about 4-5 coupons per issue. Nothing spectactular, and they usually are coded "9" for DND, so that's why I was excited to see a useful OM bacon Q!!
