What to expect at Publix Grand Opening

I just found out that Publix is opening a brand new store a few miles from were I will be on friday. I have never had the oportunity to go to one before . What are they like ? Are they worth going to for coupons ,deals ,etc ?

We had one near us recently, the only thing they did was give out a cloth Publix shopping bag to each customer. I think there were a couple of free samples in store, nothing too exciting. The Manager will be at the door to shake hands.

Ditto! Plus the ladies get a carnation.

The specials were ok. We got 6 packs of coke for $.99 at the last Publix opening we went too. There were lots of prizes to be given away, but I didn't win anything. And it seems the first X number of people get $25 worth of groceries free.

I just like going to first day as early as I can as the store is fully stocked! LOL!

Wow, that is way better than my Grand Opening was! No prizes or anything. You know I would have been in line for the free $25 in groceries .

Grand Opening at one store was great! Tons of store Q's and manuf. Q's also. They gave the kids all sorts of FREE stuff. Snacks, samples...the works! Man that was awesome
