Publix coupons

I have to wonder. Please don't yip at me. I can see how putting a Publix coupon AND a manu q ends up being big time savings.

But how many of you all actually use the coupons together? I mean I haven't seen many in a long time that don't say at the bottom. "not to be used in conjunction with any other coupon" for LU# coupons. But, I have been watching many of you use them together like Snausages for example.

We asked the store manager and she said as long as it doesn't say that it is ok. But, I don't have any that don't say that. And if you do use them do you ever get bad feeling or a cashier that yips at ya?

At my store, the manager interprits the not to be used w/ any other coupon to mean you can't use it with any other publix coupon, not a mfg coupon.

The coupons I got from publix last month in the summer savings booklet said not to use in conjunction with any other coupon and I didn't. HOWEVER, I found at least 3 other booklets at the stores with Publix coupons AND manufacturer coupons that did not state that they shouldn't be used with any other coupon. One booklet was a hurricane prep one, then there was a Heinz booklet as well as a Mypiramyd coupon. sorry for typo, baby is awake.

Once in a blue moon a cashier says you can't use a Publix and a manufacturer together and I just say that it is Publix policy to accept both. If they stand firm then I ask for a manager to come over and almost always the manager says as long as it isn't giving an overage then it is ok.

And no I don't feel bad. Especially since the new green flyer has a coupon that mentions using a manufacturer coupon in conjunction with it and also has the "not to be used in conjunction with any other coupon" wording on it.

I have also been told by Management, that that particular wording is to prevent you from using more than one Publix coupon on an item.
Case and point:

The Publix $1 Johnson coupon in the Green Advantage Buy Flyer has a red sunburst on it with the words, "SEE ADDITIONAL SAVINGS IN SUNDAY'S SEPT.16TH PAPER."

If this coupon was not intended to be used along with a mfr, why would this blurb be on the coupon in the green flyer? The very same coupon states on it
"may not be used in conjunction with any other coupon."

I think that some of the stores are misinterpreting the meaning of that wording.

My cashier was told the same thing tonight by a mgr when I stacked Aquafresh and Revlon coupons when she questioned me about that wording. He said "That means she can only use one PUBLIX coupon and one manufacturer's coupon per item - we allow one of each per item...just don't let it get so low that you owe her money." It doesn't make good sense, but as long as they are OK with it, I am too. I've been getting phenomenal overage this week off the Aquafresh.

Depends on the cashier. If the manuf. coupon says "do not use with any other coupon," I say they mean any other manuf. coupon. If it is the publix coupon that says not to use in conjunction, I sometimes don't even try it because my publix is pretty strict.

I've never had a problem stacking. Didn't realize it was an issue for other people.

Thanks for replying everyone. I was curious what everyone else rules were.

My DH asked specifically about the J&J Soap coupon. And like I said she said no other coupon with it. We have 2 Publix's so we were thinking about trying it at the other one that we didn't ask this question. Then always carrying that coupon. And if told no just be like "oops" didn't know.

Has anyone asked the corporate about this specific question and coupon?
