FREE Publix: FREE Lisinopril! (brand name:Zestril,Prinivil)

Lisinopril 30 day supply has been added to Publix list of free medications.

NEW at your Publix Pharmacy: FREE Lisinopril!
An ACE inhibitor, lisinopril is used to prevent, treat, or improve symptoms of high blood pressure, certain heart conditions, diabetes, and certain chronic kidney conditions. Get a 30-day supply of this vital prescription FREE* only at your Publix Pharmacy.
    * Maximum of 30 days supply (up to 60 tablets). Lisinopril-HCTZ combination products excluded.
To see the other medications that are free at Publix including Antibiotics and Diabetic medications: Free Medications

I know that this medication has been on the Walmart list, but Free is always better!
And the Walmart list is for the 20 mg tabs. I know someone that is on this 40 mg twice a day and it cost her a little more than $25 for 90 day supply of the 20 mg tabs at Walmart and doing it that way causes her to take 4 pills instead of 2 of this medication.

I saw this today too, I asked how long, she said they don't announce that. Great Deal, my friend pays $30- month but takes the combo one, hctz or whatever, she cannot participate!

THANK YOU for this info. I take lisinopril and had no idea about this, I clicked on your link and saw that a 30 day supply
(up to 90 tablets) of metformin is also free (I take that too).
What can you tell me about this program, you said you asked for how long and were told they don't announce that, but I am not sure I understand...do they give out free meds for different things on a rotating basis? Like I can get lisinopril free this month but it might not be free when I go to refill it next month and they may offer a different med free then?? I have never heard of this.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing this! :) I'll look to pass this on to the boatload of people I know taking it.

I am not aware of a time limit or any rotation of the meds that they have available free.I think this is just another expansion of their free medications program to help the community and to probably compete with target and walmart pharmacy's $4/$10 list.
Publix had started with the free antibiotics offering a list of them for free (up to a 14 day supply).I have seen people who had antibiotic refills and received them free without a problem. Then Publix added the Metformin and their Diabetes Management System. Now they have just started with the Lisinopril.
Again, use the OP original link to see the list of free meds.

I do know someone that has been on the Metformin and they say that they are great with the refills, calling him a few days before to let him know that the refill is ready automatically.
