Default New Publix shopper question about $10 GC wys $50

Do I have to spend $50 AFTER coupons are deducted, or will they give me the $10 GC if my total BEFORE coupons equals $50? Thanks for the newbie help!

I may be wrong but I'd hand it over before other coupons just in case. I did that and it worked a week ago bringing me total purchase to 4.56, I'd imagine if it was scanned after all coupons it would ring up as an error and would require an override if person on staff isn't picky.

Preface: I do ALWAYS hand those types of coupons over first (as well as the $5/$25, $3/$30, etc).

With that being said, I've only encountered an issue one time. That particular cashier INSISTED on me giving her all of my coupons. I didn't have many, so I didn't mind. Of course, she entered all coupons first, then got to my $5/$25 and said I couldn't use it because my total was not $25. I politely explained that those coupons should be taken off prior to any other coupons, which would make my purchase above $25. She argued a bit, I informed her that coupons are a form of payment. She called over a CS person, who agreed with me, and I went on my merry way.

To be safe and not encounter any misinformed cashiers, definately hand it over before any other coupons.
