Unfortunately, whenever a new policy comes out - a learning curve is in place. The Manager's Guide to the policy is HUGE. Instead of asking at 3 different Publix, I would suggest calling the one you frequent most and ask the actual store manager (not the ASM or CSM) for a meeting. Ask him to review the manager's guide on this new policy - specifically for the RR section.
Misinformation and lack of understanding are rampant. A lot of the times the person *thinks* that the Walgreens RR is a Walgreens coupon - and they do not accept pharmacy coupons. However, the Walgreens RR is a Catalina and the policy states they will accept Catalinas irregardless of store logo - as long as it says Manufacturer's Coupon on it. A lot of stores participate in the Catalina program (Albertson's, Kroger (I think), etc). Walgreens is included. The confusion lies because technically Walgreens is a pharmacy while Albies & Kroger, etc., are grocery stores.
In addition, there are 2 different types of Catalinas. Store coupon Catalinas and Manufacturer's coupon catalinas. Store coupon Cats will NOT be accepted, unless it is generally accepted as a competitor.
The manufacturer's catalinas - ESPECIALLY AT WALGREENS NOW - can indicate redeemable ONLY at xyz store or just redeemable AT xyz store. The ONLY at ones are supposed to be treated as a competitor. So, if you have a Wags MQ RR that says ONLY at, then NO, Publix will not take them.
As with any company, you can generally ask 15 different people the same question and get 30 different answers.
Develop a relationship with your most frequent store & that store manager.
HTH.
